Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceI understand reducing staff to reduce costs. Nonetheless, it was a bit hard to find someone to check in upon our arrival. The most annoying part was the fact that our room was never turned down while we stayed there. Even if we are not generally messy people, it would have been nice to return to a made bed. There was a horrible humidity and sewer smell coming from the bathroom which is the reason why we were so displeased with our stay. We would have mentioned something to the hotel staff but as I mentioned before, they were nowhere to be found.
This is the second time we stay at this property and it remains very well located in relation to what we usually do in Berlin. Walking distance to the center of town and a subway line. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

South KoreaNo employees can be found from till 3 p.m. If the key breaks in the morning, you can't get any help. There is no contact or guidance at the reception. So I called the Dormero homepage. They told me "I" need to look for hotel staff, and hung up. In a little while someone showed up from somewhere and I could finally get help. I was kindly helped by the female staff. Actually I stayed at this hotel every year before Covid when there was a cat (named Kiki I guess?). At that time, the staff was always there and everyone was kind. I was disappointed at the hotel I visited after a long time.
Big rooms, high ceilings, large windows, strong water pressure. Free wifi, free mini bar(However, the types of drinks are random and poor. In the past, there were at least six drinks and they were refilled every day, but now, in my case, I only had water, juice, and zero coke, no refilled.)

United KingdomShower wasn’t the best, shower head was leaking, water was on the floor after taking the shower. Plus sink was leaking a bit. Also never found a TV remote, did mention it to the reception but nothing was done. Overall still a good stay, could have had a kettle for some coffee/tea in the room.
The view from the window was really nice. Comfy beds and free drinks in the mini bar.

United KingdomI think cleaningness is one of the main points to improve! No one wants to pay to stay somewhere that's dirtier than their own house! Or unless they visit for or with one night stand the place feels a bit tacky. Also the staff can be a bit more friendly by greeting customers when they enter or go out. Finally bedding was really poor. Unmaching towels and one of the duvets actually smelt really bad.
I think you can market the place better for what it is. It seems more of a place to stay for a few hours or spent a night type of hotel. Which is unfortunate because the location is good and the premises are nice. If you could keep it clean and a bit more presentable you could have a lot of returning customers.

AustraliaI was locked out of my room twice and no one seemed to have the ability to help. it’s obviously not their fault as workers but there should be measures in place for if and when this happens so the guest isn’t locked out of their room for hours

United States1. The standard of cleanliness -- both inside and outside the room -- was poor. It took 4 days (and two complaints) for debris on the hallway carpets to be vacuumed. 2. When checking in for the second of our two stays, there was a surprise "city tax" which had not been charged during our first stay. We were able to avoid the tax by claiming that we were traveling for business rather than leisure. 3. At times, it was impossible to find service staff. For example, storing and retrieving luggage was a challenge.

DenmarkThe made a mistake with the room reservation and firstly directed us to a already occupied room. That was shocking. Then they upgraded our room to a suite. However the suite was extremely dusty and one sink was not working, filled with trash and water, which was disgusting.
The location is perfect. It is a quite and peaceful neighbourhood.

IsraelThe maintenance and the service are not the best... There were a few things broken in the room, and even after asking to be fixed, no one came out to fix it The shower hose was spraying water all over, and the curtains were broken. Cold air came in from the window and chilled the room... There was no coffee or kettle in the room, and when asking for one, they say they don't have The king-size bed was great, but there were two separate blankets - asking for one did not help. The pillows were very soft and asking for a firmer one, did not help, they just ignored it. The weirdest thing is that the reception is open only from 1 pm?!?! Overall, after everything I wrote here, we had a great vacation, but it could be better with better maintenance and crew assistance
The rooms are big, the king-size bed is very comfortable , there are free drinks in the mini bar

United KingdomWe checked into the hotel at 8pm, so long after the allocated check in time. However, it feel as if the cleaning of the room had been rushed. There was meant to be a free minibar with the room - this was allocated in one of the cupboards which contained a small fridge, but when checked, it was empty and not stocked. My partner and I had been buying bottles of drink at the bar downstairs, rather than having them in the free minibar like we should have done. We were only made aware of the free minibar the day before we flew home. The hotel staff did give us some free bottles of beer once they realised but it's a shame that this was not stocked in the first place, as it should have been. The first thing I noticed when we arrived at the room was that the left hand side of the curtains were hanging off the runner completely, meaning that the curtain could not be drawn. I had to rehook the curtains in an attempt to be able to use them. The wifi did not work on our phones at all. The room appeared clean but, when I looked under the bed I could see that it was thick with dust and there was a random assortment of items under the bed including coins and paper. I don't know if the bed is fixed to the wall, which means they cannot move it to hoover underneath it but it was noticeable that there was a lot of dust in the room. Additionally, the soap dispensers in the bathroom had not been topped up.
The room was big, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked and the shower was decent and there were very big mirrors in the bathroom and bedroom. The hotel was quiet and in a very good location in terms of getting around Berlin by public transport and having local places to eat. Christmas market was nearby too.

SwedenAt first they gave me an uncleaned room but they fixed that quickly. They charged me over 19 euros for breakfast. I said to them that I thought it would cost 16 euros. They said ni so I paid 19 times two. I later saw in the emails from the hotel before my arrival that breakfast would cost 16,90€. A bit disappointed about that.
I loved the cat! Otherwise it was a nice hotel for an ok price.

United KingdomThere was a pet cat at the property which is not listed anywhere on this site. We would not have stayed here if we'd known. There was fowl smelling food left out for the cat in the conservatory area. The room was very dusty/dirty the whole hotel requires a deep clean. The reception was not continually manned and could be problematic. The reception is not available until 3pm, with no facilities to leave luggage. Unsecure internet on offer could also cause issues.
The location was great so close to transport links shops and restaurants. The sauna was a nice edition to the property (once we found it - signage is required to be clearer) The free mini bar was a nice touch, providing water, juice and beer. The room was a good size but decor dated.

United KingdomIt feels like the hotel is totally understaffed. Reception is only manned between certain hours; attention to cleaning detail not great and only on request; no hot drink facility in the room and only available at breakfast in the hotel such a shame when there are lovely places to sit although on our last day we were offered hot drinks: bar opening very limited and not after 11pm; expensive breakfast but lots of good places very nearby; no bedside lighting and central lighting too dark to read by; TV didn't work.
There are a number of things at this hotel that score 10. The friendliness of the team and their flexibility on check in and check out; the location which is very central but peaceful; huge rooms and very comfortable beds; free drinks in the mini bar and a red squirrel in the courtyard!
