Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesGreat staff. Great breakfast. Helped me practice my German even though I'm sure English would have been easier for them.

ItalyI would remove the carpet for hygiene reasons. I would also suggest installing an elevator or a lift to carry luggage to the upper floors.
The breakfast was good and varied, though a bit pricey (12 euros per person). The staff were very kind and helpful. Everything was very clean, and the spaces were cozy. The location is great—just a five-minute walk from the metro, which takes you directly to the central station in 30 minutes, and to the Messe Hall at the next stop.

LatviaContrary to what the hotel employee told us, the hotel offers a laundry washing service which we found out about by accidentally locating the "laundry bag" in the closet on our check out day.
We loved this hotel and our stay: the staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the means of transport around the city and main attractions. We liked the free parking and the breakfast options, as well as fast WiFi connection. The location is perfect: there is a subway nearby and the big shopping mall, as well as grocery shops REWE and LIDL.

We stayed only for one night, though we liked it there very much. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms. Breakfast was very nice - classics with coffee, tea and eggs served by waiter ☺️

United StatesNothing. It was all great.
Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was very nice, even helping us practice our German instead of defaulting to English when they heard our accents. Location was close to tram line to city center and also very close to the music venue we were attending.

PortugalThe cleaning staff is noisy in the morning and they opened the door twice early in the morning to clean our room (the check out was just at 11am).
The hotel is well located, close to the shopping mall, bus stop, train station and some restaurants.

The breakfast was excellent - one of the best I've had while traveling in Europe. The cleanliness of the room and property was exceptional. The hotel was co-located with both a restaurant and a small grocery store which made for convenient shopping.

GermanyWhile the room was clean, the bathroom may need some minor maintenance- there were aging spots visible here & there, like the base of the shower
Standard 3* local hotel with expected level of service, room fitting and breakfast. Nothing exceptional, but was a good value for money and close to the destination.

New ZealandAs with many/most smaller European hotels there was a lack of in room tea/coffee making facilities
Attractive, quiet suburban location but with nearby train link to city centre. Free off-street parking and easy 'out of hours access' (with clear directions from host). Very clean, with good sized room. Extremely friendly and helpful hostess who provided an excellent breakfast. Excellent value for money.

United StatesEverything was excellent but should note that as an older facility it does not have an elevator and there are stairs to most all the rooms . Definitely NOT a negative just of note if you have mobility issues.
Frankfurt can be an expensive city to stay in. This location is in the suburbs but the family that owns the facility and staff make this very budget friendly hotel a hidden gem. Rooms and facility are very clean and in excellent condition. Style is a bit dated but the rooms are very comfortable and include all you might need. A very affordable and good breakfast can be had onsite. Less than two blocks walk brings you to a shopping mall and the fast affordable transit (by direct streetcar/subway) to downtown Frankfurt in less than 20 min. Parking is also available

GermanyThe shower was very small. We had to leave really early and on the weekend the breakfast starts at 8 am. No open bakery on Sunday in the area.
The bed were comfortable, the hotel was close to the tram station and a big shopping center. The area was quiet. There was a grocery store at the corner. If you arrive early enough, there are parking spots available. The staff was very friendly.

NorwayThe room did not have any air condition even though we were there on a very hot day. Had to sweat the whole night even with the windows open. The room was very basic. The towels looked like rags and not nice at all. Rooms didn’t have a boiler for tea/coffee The hotel didn’t have an elevator (we were travelling the senior citizens) Could hear people go in and out of their rooms There were bugs in the room because we had to keep the window open. It is okay if you’re looking for a one night stay that is (sort of) cheap with basic facilities and no frills.
It is a family owned hotel, so it has great history. It is a cute hotel but very basic.
