We had great experience. The staff made it all to feel us welcomed. The front desk team was very friendly and efficient, ensuring that our check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. In addition to that they have been very helpful during our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s situated in a vibrant part of the city, close the restaurants, shops, and attractions. Whether you’re looking to explore the local culture or just relax, everything is within easy reach. The neighbourhood felt safe and lively, which added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. I also want to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping staff. They apparently are doing an outstanding job to keep the room and the whole facility clean and comfortable every day. One additional feature I appreciated was the hotel’s charging stations for electrical cars. They were conveniently located and offered a reasonable price. Do not forget to make your reservation if you need to charge your car.

One of my kids crawled under the sofa bed and found a half eaten nacho and someone else's water bottle. Otherwise, the room was clean. The staff at the reception also seemed to be annoyed by their jobs and we didn't feel super welcome. But maybe they just had a bad day...

The room was spacious, quiet and dark at night (which was great for a good night's sleep). We liked the location a lot, as we needed to continue our travels by train the following day.

Room was a little small for my liking.

Location was excellent, just a short walk from train station. Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients each morning. Air conditioning was a much appreciated.

Excellent location few minutes walk to the Altstadt and close to rail station Nicely refurbished rooms with a fridge kettle and coffee machine and friendly helpful staff The complimentary fruit and tea and coffee in the lounge were a nice touch

Just a 5 min walk to the train station. Lovely hotel, spotless clean. Bathroom very modern and spacious. Stayed in a single room. Breakfast was very tasty. Staff very friendly and attentive. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel has been reconfigured from several structures, renovated over the several times; retaining beautiful olden day features, but also incorporating environmentally friendly today’s trends. ( using ground water under the hotel to cool the guest rooms!) But these meant also, there were uneven flooring, connections, unexpected steps; some are dangerous unless you’re careful. A further modification may make the hotel a greater spot.

For visitors arriving by train, the hotel is ideally located just a short distance away from the station. Also a short walk away from the center of the town. The room was spacious and the bathroom shower wonderful. I also enjoyed the large flat screen TV.

Historic hotel in the city centre of Freiburg, nice staff, great breakfast. Has a focus on sustainability (like electricity from the roof as well as local suppliers for breakfast). Unfortunately, the bar was closed Monday-Wednesday.

Nothing … all good wrt hotel, but one thing (as a warning) is to take care upon arrival and parking out front of hotel. We parked our car out front of the hotel upon arrival to go in to reception to (i) check-in, (ii) find out “where to park our car” and (iii) drop our bags in our room, only to find that in that short period we had received a “Welcome to Freiburg” parking fine (grrr). As we were not sure what to do and it was not evidently clear you had to pay the second you stop the motor then this was particularly annoying, especially as we had Swiss car-plates so clearly indicating we were from out of town, parked directly in front of hotel so likely to be checking in and were there literally only for the short period to check in and take our bags to the room before moving the car behind the hotel to the designated hotel parking area. Only discovered the “Welcome to Freiburg” parking fine when we came to leave and saw the paper fine stuck under wiperblade ‘fly off’ (as it was raining so I had to use the wipers). Went back to see what the paper was and saw it was a “Welcome to Freiburg” parking fine.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much and would have no issues staying here again. Breakfast very good. Good location in the centre of the town so able to walk around easily. Staff friendly. Room comfortable and of good standard with a comfortable bed.

The only small issue is the that it feels a little unsafe at night in that area. Through no fault of the hotel! This can be expected near city stations.

Really great location in a lovely building, close to the station. The staff were so helpful and nice - even packing us up breakfast for our journey as we needed to leave early. The beds were very comfortable and everything very clean.
