Overall, my impression was very positive. However, since some constructive feedback is welcome, I would mention the absence of a vent hood in the bathroom. Additionally, a floor drain in the bathroom would definitely be a useful improvement.

The room interior was very cozy and comfortable, with the bed and pillows being especially worth mentioning. Breakfast was excellent. A complimentary bottle of water and local wine were a pleasant surprise from the hotel, and each morning a new bottle of water was provided in the room. The location is also quite convenient — though a bit far from the central station, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the main attractions: the Old Bridge, the cathedral, the historic town hall, and not far from the Würzburg Residence Palace.

The parking and rooms in 2 separate buildings is a little strange. We were in the new part and son was in the old building next store, connected by stairs and walkways. Very confusing at times. He could not access our room so we had to give him our key to come to our part of the hotel.

Nothing really, but the annex hold the newer/larger rooms, so you go via a tunnel to another building for the newer rooms. The historic hotel holds only the more traditional rooms.

The hotel is seriously understaffed, with one person who seems to do reception, waiter service and everything else in the reception area. Not sure why the restaurant was closed.

This is a fine, historic hotel with a famous restaurant (closed during our stay). The lobby facilities are limited, but pleasant and I like the fact that there was free beer, wine, coffee and tea in the evening. Also a welcome bottle of local wine.

So what offset the wonderful service all around was the datedness of the room, and, in my case, too much furniture. Also the bedding was a bit old. A cotton blanket instead of the acrylic would’ve been nice.

The service was excellent with a lot of little special touches like: complimentary warm milk and honey! A small welcome bottle of wine, fresh water every day, well-stocked minibar, and lovely selection of coffees for the Tassimo machine. The towels were nice and bathrobes are available.

The room is very dark. There are many lights but none of them is suficient to read or work. There was construction work which produced terrible noice, starting early in the morning. Garage costs 25 Euro extra. The breakfast was not what I expected for a 4 star hotel. The room was not done during our 2-night stay, but on our last day the cleaning staff entered the room before 9:00 o'clock even without knocking!

The most comfortable bed I have had recently, spacious and clean room, great location.
