This was our second stay with our children and we were very pleased again. Quiet hotel near peaceful lake, with nice swimming pool. Rooms are well kept and personnel was friendly.

The staff is exellent and helps you all the way. They do the extra mile with a smile. Make sure to ask for a refurbuished room. The old ones are not to good as bathroom needs thorough cleaning! After our complaints they did offer discounts and help. The lake is great to walk around, the restaurant is decent.

Lack of bar despite the electronic pad in our room saying it opened at 6.00 every evening. We pointed this out to a senior member of dining room team who told us the bar was only used for large functions and the page needed to be changed! You could sit on the Terrace in good weather but service was slow as staff were serving in the dining room, or sit in the dining room for pre or after dinner drinks. Not the staff fault - they were just overstretched. The rooms were very dated and tired but clean. Some renovations seem to be happening on some floors. The room was stifling despite having a fan unit, but weather was very hot!

Views and locality of nature were excellent. Food was good - breakfast was plentiful. Buffets in the evening worked better as not many staff employed in the evenings. Balcony in room was great overlooking the lake. Cleaners were very good and helpful.

Decor and rooms a bit dated

Reception staff, let us park our motorbike outside main doors as we were concerned about security. All staff very nice.

The evening buffet was WAY too expensive compared to the quality of the dishes! Our room had a messy balcony with no cleaning regarding spiders and stuff. We saw the maids cleaning other balconies. Our balcony was a wild-life.

I was travelling with my dog, so I really appreciated the fact that they made my dog very welcome, and the location is great for walking. It was really nice to have dinner in the restaurant with my dog beside me.

It is located far from the city and there is no option of reaching the hotel by walking from the central station. In the late evening it was almost impossible to catch a taxi and we had to call the hotel for the help. The good thing is that they helped quickly.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful place. It has very polite and friendly staff. Nice pool, but the sauna was turned off and I did not have a chance to use it as I was staying only for a night. 1 night is not enough to enjoy the hotel and all its infrastructure. 2-3 nights would be perfect.

Having to pay to park, even as a disabled guest is not great. I asked about this upon checking out. The receptionist suggested that it was a free service but then liaised with a colleague and charged €9 per day. Disabled parking should be free.

Expensive parking without reason ( there were free parking options 10m away with the same security standards, there were renovation works on the upper floors causing some noise.

well, i called with the measurements of my 2 friends and the size of the wheelchairs they use... when we arrived we had a little wait no problem we had coffee but when one of my wheelchair friends wanted the WC there was not one on the same floor and we had no room yet so she had to find a way downstairs to the basemen toilets... not a good start .. when we got our rooms we found that the ladies and their wheelchairs could not get into the wash/bath/toilet room in the room. also not in the next room they offered us... however, 1 hour later my friends were offered a suite to use for the time we were there. i was sent a mail 2 days before we were due to travel that there was building work being done but it would not trouble us ... but it did ...

Very nice place and absolutely adorable staff. I did get lost in the woods surrounding the lake - do be careful (or try not to be a dork and actually look where you're going). Breakfast was superb I had eaten to enough to go on with the 8hrs drive back home.

They offer shuffle to the airport on the web and that doesn't exist anymore. Taxi from the hotel to the airport cost around 100-110€. Was not a beautiful surprise.

That they did not have gluten-free bread as an option. They had run out for the evening meal and there was none at the breakfast either.

It was clean, had character and was refurbished to a good taste which fitted in with its historic interior. They are very dog friendly. I could bring dog into the restaurant and to the breakfast area. The location overlooking the lake and being next to a river.

Beer in restaurant not chilled . Bath/shower awkward access and stained grout . Towels have seen better days .

1st visit 1982 and internally no change since then and the hotel overall looking a bit tired especially the bathrooms and needs some serious room upgrading and general TLC .However presentation ,service and restaurant food standard still quite excellent and our waiter was friendly and helpful .The quiet location beside the lake is lovely for walks and very relaxing and the spa , unchanged since the 70s , is still great with large pool and most enjoyable to spend time in .
