We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PakistanWe (my wife and I) arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM. Upon entering the first door, we found the second one locked. There was a screen that required us to enter our Reservation ID and surname to gain access. Our booking had been made by someone else, so although my name appeared as the guest, the system wasn’t accepting the credentials. We tried several combinations, but unfortunately, we couldn't get in. Just then, someone opened the door and looked at us with clear suspicion — it honestly felt like we were intruders! 😅 I explained the situation, and to his credit, he let us in and opened the reception area for us. I showed him my Apple Wallet confirmation and reservation ID, but he responded with, “You might be at the wrong hotel.” He requested our passports for verification and initially insisted that he didn’t have our booking. After showing him my Booking.com confirmation, he asked if the reservation was made by "XYZ". Once I confirmed that, his tone immediately changed — and only then did we start to feel like actual guests. 😄 I’m not sure where the miscommunication happened — perhaps it was a system limitation or a name mismatch. But a warmer welcome and more empathetic communication from the staff would have definitely made the experience less stressful after a long day of travel.
The room was okay — a bit smaller than I expected. It’s ideal for a solo traveler, but if you're coming with a partner and carrying a couple of suitcases, it can feel a little tight in terms of space. That said, the cleanliness was spot on, and the washroom/toilet was well-maintained with most essential amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a pleasant, cozy vibe. The location is also quite convenient, with easy access to nearby transport and local shops.

The staff was attentive to our needs and provided a kettle when requested. They also rang for a taxi for us in the morning. The room and bathroom were good size and you could open the window without being on the main street. Included a lift to take us to our level.

CyprusThe location is just after the Basel border in Germany, so when using the tram to return to the hotel, we were stopped for ID/passport control — something we didn’t know in advance. Luckily we had our passports with us and not left at the hotel. The hotel does not offer the BaselCard for free public transport, which we expected. Instead, we had to pay over 11 CHF per person per day. The cleaning service was not very good, and the bathroom floor wasn’t very clean.
Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The room was clean, comfortable, and met our expectations. The man at the reception was very helpful and professional.

Location so near trams, restaurants and shopping centre.. Price and considering the room had three single beds it was quite spacious. I would use this hotel again if in the area.
