Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyOverall, it wasn’t too bad, but the location is in a middleeastern community part of town and as a result pretty noisy outside during the day: loud speaking people, loud music from the cars, people repairing running cars under the hotels window, lots of open fruit markets with crowds blocking the pedestrians. It was ok during the night.
I liked the room, which had a small fridge, the staff was polite, helpful and well trained. I had no issues with noise inside the hotel. The location is convinient, especially if you have a transport card, as trams are frequent. Excellent value!

FranceGetting to the hotel was easy enough. However, the hotel was in a noisy, well-traveled area as the tram line and cars were going up and down. There was also a lot of foot-traffic. This did not affect us as we were quite relaxed. However, we did hear it for quite a while.
Great hotel in Leipzig! It had almost everything that one could need for weekend stay. It had a great breakfast, very comfy rooms, our bathroom was fantastic and was incredibly clean. Parking was close by and under protection. The staff helped us out by pointing out where to go for the parking. A tram stop was close by for any needed trips into the city center.

GermanyThe staff at reception finish work early, so you can't even leave your luggage at the hotel until 18:00 or later. The area around the hotel was a bit creepy in the evening to walk alone
Expectations were a bit higher. Basically everything is clean, easy to get anywhere in the city, a normal hotel room, but more like to stay overnight for a couple of days at most.

AustraliaNothing to dislike
I thought the property was actually nicer in reality than it looks on the website. Very clean and pretty quiet at night considering the tram line runs outside the hotel. Location is just outside the city centre which is 2 stops on the very regular trams. Good breakfast . The hotel was very reasonably priced compared to many others when I was there for the euro 24 football match in the city.

AustraliaThe room lacks light and was very dark, the location was a bit far from the main city centre but public transport is easy to catch. Breakfast was expensive and there was not much variety for the price.
The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Beds were very comfortable.

SwitzerlandEasy access area from the main train station with 2 or 3 tram lines. The staff are super friendly. There are many Arabic shops and resturants around the hotel that was not to my taste.

BelgiumThe bathroom heater knob didn't work, hence it was super warm inside, which I didn't mind personally, but felt like a waste of energy to keep the bathroom that warm.
The Hotel is well located, close to tram and train stations. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was modern and very clean, and the shower was hot and the pressure was excellent.

GermanyIf your is facing the street with the tram, be aware that it will be very loud-even at night-with opened windows. With the windows closed, I found the rooms to get very warm and stuffy very quickly

Netherlandsthe district where the hotel is located doesn't seem safe - lots of gambling establishments, hookah bars, shawarma, and other east food places, at some point I was feeling like I'm somewhere in Morocco or Cairo, but not in Germany it is good that the tram stop is very close, so just hop on the tram and go to the city center
- modern hotel, big room, clean - lady at the reception helped us to drive in hotel parking, which had plenty of free space and costed only 8 euros per night - only 4-5 train stops to the city center

GermanyI think the only thing I didn't like was that if you walk only one street looks like you're in a different city, more dirty, with ugly walls and a weird atmosphere.
The location was really good. Was really close to the downtown and in 3 minutes walking you are on a stop from the Strassenbahn. They have the own restaurant and a bar. The breakfast was amazing and with to many options. The room was really pretty, nice and cozy. We choose a room with air conditioner because the weather was to hot when we been there. They have the own parking place for only 8 euro per night. And the staff was really nice all the time.

United KingdomMaybe have tea and coffee facilities in the room as this would have made it perfect. Maybe cooked breakfast in the option although there was so much to chose from.
Hotel Atlas are doing a great job. Melanie's emails before arriving were so helpful and brilliant so thank you as it made the journey so easy. Location is only about 5 minutes on the tram ( 1 or 3), the room was tastefully done, the bathroom was fabulous and the bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable in 40 years of travelling!!. I dealt with Stephanie on the desk most and her customer service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and she was patient and kind. Also the young guy on the desk was also helpful. Glad there was air con in the room as weather was very hot. WELL DONE ALL of you as you are doing a great job.
