There are limited food options in walking distance of the hotel. There is a restaurant under separate ownership/management within the hotel property. We used it twice. The first time for drinks only which was fine. As a result we decided to dine there that evening, It took over an hour for our food to arrive and required us to ask where it was. The main courses arrived before the starter (which we declined), My meal of chicken gyros was overpriced for what it was and had little chicken and a poor salad. No apologies were given for the delays, I would not recommend

The hotel was lovely, very clean and had character. It is near to a tram stop offering frequent services to the centre. Our room came equipped with a small kitchen which was useful for making drinks and using the fridge (there is a small cleaning charge if you want to actually cook in it). Excellent breakfast. Other reviews complain about the noise and the hotel is situated on a corner with passing trams and traffic. However, despite having a room to the front of the building and keeping our windows open at night, we did not find it intrusive. Also, some reviews comment on the heat. By keeping the main curtains drawn and windows open , we did not find it overly hot. We are not used to a/c at home though and can appreciate that others may be uncomfortable.

The WiFi was not working during our stay. Unfortunately the staff did not tell us about this at the check in. We really needed the internet for work related reason. After asking the staff about it they told us that they already knew about this issue and would fix it in the future. They didn't offer us any alternative. For this price we were expecting at least some basic connection.

They charged for the water bottle in the room 3 Euro. The person in line in front of me at check out they charged €3 for the tea she made herself in the room

Lovely old hotel. I asked for twin beds but we got 2 bedrooms which was great as my husband snores! It’s not right in the centre but we got the tram in every day with a day ticket that can be used on the bus as well. Room was clean and beds comfortable, good shower

The front desk is not available 24 hours a day (it was not the only hotel I saw this in Germany), but the staff was able to arrange to assure everything was ok at my arrival.

Small property, with good access to transportation. Staff available to help you in case of any doubt. A little old structure, but comparable to other hotels with the same ratings. A very positive point refers to the restaurante Estancia - an outstanding meat restaurant - that is 1 minute walk from hotel.

The room was not very serviceable for us. The electric outlet by the beds did not work, and my husband required a CPAP. The signage by the telephone states there is a night staff available to help, however I felt terrible when I found I had woken the hostess at home calling at bed time for help in accessing an extension chord.

Access to the breakfast area is a bit confusing. The door reads Breakfast Salon (or something similar), but guests are not supposed to enter through that door. When we were about to enter, the clerk at the reception desk reprimanded us in a patronizing way, which I didn't appreciate...

The staff didn't tell me how to get inside the hotel in the evening when they were not there and the main door was closed and they didn't answer the call, so I had to guess it myself, and that was stressful.

With a larger car, parking is a "little" more difficult due to limited space.

A very nice and spacious room in a converted villa, with high ceilings and a stove, very nicely furnished. There was a small kitchenette in the hallway. Private parking on the premises with electric car charging. I didn't get to try the breakfast. However, there is a private steak restaurant in the building. The steak was fantastic and reminded me of the steaks at LaBrigada restaurant in Buenos Aires.

I like it in general. The one thing is that they are closing the door after 9, and you have a key. But there is no receptionist after that. But we don't have any inconvenience due to that.

The building was lovely, and the staff was helpful. I like a kind of historical room. It was close to the center of Dresden. There was a nice steak restaurant in the building.

Limited parking on-site (my reserved space was not available on arrival). Unnecessary need to preorder hot breakfast. Family room #103 required walking through second room to reach bathroom. Bathroom fan stayed on all night. Only one plug in second room, awkwardly placed between door and cupboard. Street noise a time quite loud. Difficult to find parking entrance and no space to park outside to unload/load vehicle.

Great location within a manageable walk of the old town centre with the tram passing directly in front of the building. Also a short walk to the university hospital. Nice clean classic building and decoration.

The layout did mean the bathroom had to be accessed via the bedroom… not a problem… but not always an ideal situation!

Gorgeous and full of character… within east tram travel from the rail station and into the city centre! Lovely breakfast.
