How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only thing we couldn’t find was an iron and ironing board but this was a very minor issue. Otherwise everything was so lovely.
The apartment is right in the centre of the beautiful village of Besigheim. It is spacious and newly renovated, with a lovely kitchen and bathroom and a really comfortable bed. The host Claude met us at check in and was friendly and informative. There is a washing machine and dryer in the building, but as there are only two apartments this was just as convenient as having it in the apartment itself. There is no aircon but there is a large fan which worked pretty well during the hot nights we had. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment, and we hope to return.

We were under the impression that we had 2 separate bedrooms but in fact, the 2nd bed was in an open upstairs part. still it was very nice.
Beautiful apartment in the heart of Besigheim, yet very quiet and comfy. Landlord was very nice and generous.

Very beautiful. If you have mobility issues there are three flights of stairs to deal with (for the attic room we were in). Not a problem for us and worth every step for a wonderful stay.
We were in the stunning loft apartment. Very clean. Very tidy. Lovely host. A perfect gem of a find as everyone in Besigheim was also wonderful. Highly highly highly recommended.

Hand on heart, nothing. I cannot find one fault with this stay. From booking to the apartment to the lovely restaurant around the town. This accommodation is the best we have stayed in in Germany and we are currently on accommodation 6.
The host Jürgen is the nicest man in the world. The apartments are beyond beautiful and so well kept. The town on Besigheim is absolutely stunning. Could not of asked for a better host, better accommodation and better town to spend a few days.

1) Although the apartment is in the center, it was quiet here and we could feel in privacy. 2) The apartment has everything you need, but it doesn’t feel cluttered. 3) Fresh renovation.

Honestly, there's nothing I disliked about my stay. It was a fantastic experience all around.
Claude, the apartment owner, was really nice and helpful. The apartment was super clean, cozy, and right in the center of the old city. We enjoyed our stay 10/10

Though we enjoyed the stay and the location, it would be better if the heating conditions could be improved. We went during the extreme winter season, therefore, it is possible that the heating can be a short challenge. Extra pillows would have been better as they were too soft and I prefer a little high pillow for my neck. This is not an issue, but a minor recommendation, although I did not reach out to the host for an additional pillow option.
The location is a 10-15 minute walk from Besigheim Main Station or can be accessed via the bus. There are enough supermarkets and restaurants for people to have lunch or dinner. The host, home, and the classic-cum-modern outlook of this property are amazing. Friendly and elegant neighborhood. Romantic spot and also has a kitchen for cooking and has small balcony.
