How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no lift, and the apartment is on the 4th floor. Reaching the apartment on the stairs was a challenge, especially with heavy luggage or bags from shopping. Someone with a bad knee would definitely feel it. Other than that...wonderful!
The hosts were very nice. The apartment was better than expected. It has everything you need except air-conditioning, but with the windows open, it was just fine. Restaurants, stores and malls are within walking distance as well as the harbor, which is very beautiful. We had a pleasant stay and the included breakfast was also very nice.

Some problems unlocking the door at guesthouse. The beds could have been wider - or separated (like we booked them)
Good breakfast, reasonable price. We additionally had a kitchen. Spacious bathroom including shower and bathtub.

The check in closes at 6pm and there’s no movement in that - we only just made it!!! Staff were friendly but there was no accommodating us if we were late.
We ended up in a self contained flat - it was very comfortable and clean.

Nothing!!!
Everything. The room was clean and perfect. The lady cooked a very nice breakfast for me and made sure that I had plenty of coffee.

Upper floor is problematic with bags, so narrow everything - I'm not sure that everybody could succeed to get up with bags

Just be aware there are very steep and narrow stairs to get up to your room.
The staff were friendly and spoke English and German. The hotel was also very clean.

We booked rooms for 19 persons. In the key box we found keys to 4 rooms for 8 persons total. There was no one in the hotel, no phone contact. We hade to book second hotel in the are which was very stressful in the evening. In the morning we were asked to pay for all the rooms however the reception admitted they made a mistake and didn't leave proper keys. We paid 5/8 of the total for 8 beds of 19 beds we booked. We asked for an invoice 5 times on phone and in email both in English and German and we were refused to receive an invoice. Very, very poor service.

Having break fast in a different building is a new experience but it wasn’t annoying, it was okay!
I arrived at very late hour to check in due to train delays for more than 3 hours, though the hotel was closed but neighbour contacted them then they came to let me come in and check in. Though I didn’t mention my kids during reservations, they were kind and understandable to offer me 3 beds room without extra fee. Sometimes I arrive late for breakfast after due hour but they were kind to welcome us. When we complained the cold inside the room especially with no carbets, they showed quick support to fix heating and bring carbets for both rooms.

it’s not a hotel. it’s at best some sort of rooms to rent. we paid a ridiculous amount of money - 150 Euro - to stay in a shabby two-room apartment in an apartment building 500 meters away from the breakfast place. no tea or coffee in the apartment, all extremely drab. the owner or whatever he was was extremely brusque, verging on rude. Northern hospitality full-on. 150 euros for this is beyond ridiculous. 50 euro would have made it still disappointing, but at least closer to the mark… Don’t do it.
Breakfast was ok - the only thing that was.
