How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is in a perfect place, especially with a dog. Green area right next to the building and really close to the centre, also has its own parking place. The staff was really nice and helpful, the room was cozy, i would definitely recommend.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff- everyone goes out of their way to accommodate your needs and wishes and to make you feel at home. Very clean facilities and tasty breakfast. Very close to the train station, so it's easy to reach by public transport but it's not noisy at all. Even though there's no 24h reception, late check-ins can be arranged.

We did not have any issues with our stay. I just wished the weather was better when we were there.
Petra is the most wonderful host. She made sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. The hotel location is perfect for exploring Oberammargau.

Pity the restaurant is not part of the hotel. Otherwise we were very very satisfied.
Our room was ugraded to the junior suite and made it very comfortable. Erol and Petra treated us like family friends and it made it a homely stay. Any question was answered and a few extras were offered to us. A good value for money breakfast is served. Free parking next to hotel. We were fortunate to enjoy a white Xmas in Oberammergau

Being on the 4th floor with no elevator. Staff was nice enough to help us with our bags getting them up and down!
A nice spacious room and bathroom, nice outdoor balcony, and a beautiful breakfast free of charge! Also extremely friendly helpful staff.

This is an old-fashioned hotel. The hosts Errol and Petra welcome you as a welcomed visitor to their home. It was the most pleasant stay we have had after 3 weeks in Germany in numerous locations. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

The staff was very nice and kind, the room was very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, just right next to the bus stop and Bahnhof. The breakfast was enough for what we needed. The room had a great view. We would definitely stay here again. :)

The scoreline in the Germany v Scotland Euro match, only in sympathy for the one Scot in the bar we sat with to watch the match.
A big thank you to Petra and Erol, the hosts that anyone thinking of being in the accommodation business should learn from. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and an easy walk into the main part of town. The food in the restaurant/bar was very good and the friendliness of the local patrons made our stay a highlight of our seven week trip through some of Europe.

I liked the all-inclusive, homelike quality of the Hote Garni Ammergauer Hof. Going into the restaurant for a meal or drinks was like walking downstairs and into the home of a family friend and the food was really satisfying.

Amazing stay. Great facilities, location can’t be beat, very friendly and helpful owners, good breakfast spread, spotlessly clean, and so comfortable. There are access to balconies, a beautiful view, a short walk to the main area of Oberammergau, a store right across the street for any last minute needs, steps away from the Bahnhof, and even a guest card for free use of bus.
