Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesHaving never been to a place like it before, the directions on how to get could be better explained. It was not a bad experience, just something that could be improved. A microwave would have been nice.
What breakfast? Bed and pillow was comfy. I liked the desk and chair in the room. The food store next door was great and a convenience for a traveler.

United KingdomThe check-in was stressful. We arrived after 10pm and the hotel was in darkness - we had to phone to get keys from a key box. This took some time, during which we were standing outside. Rooms were clean but floor was not vacuumed during our 4 night stay. Apart from a kettle, facilities were non-existent. No mini bar (looked like it had been removed!) No toiletries (shampoo dispenser was empty and was not refilled). The light over the bathroom mirror did not work. We were aware that there was no air conditioning when we booked but there were no fans. We had to keep the windows open so were disturbed by traffic and tram noise. No reception, no bar, no staff anywhere to be seen. Would not stay again and would not recommend. The room did not look like the photo on Booking.com. Friends stayed about 20 minutes away in a beautiful hotel with lots of facilities included in the price (which was significantly less than what we paid). That's where we will stay if we return.
The hotel was the closest to an event we were attending. Otherwise, we would not have stayed here.

United KingdomThis property has no reception, nothing other than the rooms. No air con no nothing. The description on booking.com is completely incorrect. It is nothing like it. When we arrived at 10pm it was in darkness and we had to phone a number to get access. The person we called made me feel like a criminal as I hadn’t paid a small amount for the second person added to the room despite me providing all relevant credit card details. I had to tell him my details over the phone or else we would not have been allowed to get a key!!!! Despite me paying on booking.com for the original booking.

United StatesThere was no reception desk, instructions to enter were in German. Key was in a key box. Thank goodness my family member translated before we left Leer or we would have not know how to get in. NO AIR CONDITIONING and it was 90 degrees F when we were there. No cleaning, dirty cups were left in the room, coffee supplies and towels not replenished and since there was no staff there we were stuck. Would not recommend!!!!
The room was decent. We stayed in this area because it was close to our friend’s wedding venue but nothing else!
