Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI was kept up at night by the sound of other visitors talking loudly/shouting- no staff told them to quieten down. Curtains were very difficult and stiff to move. Shower room floor was constantly wet, temperature of the shower fluctuates between hot and cold, without any involvement. Not enjoyable at all. Toilets were also very small, like a prison cell.
Pricing was OK. Nice to have access to showers, toilets, WiFi etc. Some staff spoke English which was very helpful.

GermanyThere is no toilet inside the bathroom. I had to use a shared toilet at the end of the hall and that's pretty inconvenient. The rooms' numbers also don't follow the same pattern for usual hotel so you have to check the map on each floor to see if your room is on it.
The price is pretty cheap and my room has 2 beds even though I booked for 1 person. There's a bus station outside the hotel and multiple ones near there so it's very easy to commute. They also allow self check-in if you come late at night.

IndiaMine was a single bed room... so toilet & bathroom were outside my room. Not tech savvy, no key card. Your room will have an actual key which you need to carry along. Room gets very cold.
Very close to the BayArena, makes it the perfect choice if you're watching a late night game. The breakfast was good. Housekeeping is done properly.

United KingdomThe room was dated, and furniture was not arranged comfortably to watch TV, the TV did not work because of the antenna cable being dismantled(I fixed it). The bed was too low to the floor.. The net curtains didn't fit the window length to maintain privacy and dignity. The bed was provided with two singular duvets not a double.
The shower was clean, the room was warm once all the windows that were left open shut.

United KingdomThe noise of what can be heard from the corridor through the doors. There are no signs to ask the others to be quiet. The television is disconnected and no instructions on how to reconnect. No hooks to hang up wet towels. Rooms have no pictures. Very cold and lacks personality. A lot of maintenance work to be done.
It was cheap.

United KingdomThe hotel advised they had water damage and asked me to cancel my room 3 weeks prior to my arrival for the Euros. I refused as I received another from Booking.com advising I hadn't paid my room. My booking was advanced and not due till 12th June. I suspect they wished to sell my room for a higher rate due to the football, why? when I asked to see the water damage nobody knew anything about it. This was poor plus another guest had no room despite an Expedia reference again a debacle. Customers should not be treated this way because of money
The hotel and reception lady were good, however the communication and attempt to cancel my room were not. See below

It was fine, basic, but you get what you pay for. Saved me a fortune when travelling for the Euros. It was clean, tidy and secure and that’s all that matters.

IcelandThere was a strange spot on the wall and strange smell. The blackout curtains didn't reach all the way so there always was a 10 cm-ish gap that a light sled trough. There was much sound outside even if the windows were fully closed and there was so much noise if people were walking the hall and they were only walking in the hall. The keychain had this big pendule that made even higher noise and it woke me up a few times so I was not really happy about the non-excistent sound proofing. Picture below of the light gap and the strange mold-like stain on the wall. It was right behind the bathroom wall so probably this is a mold. There were no cups in the room to drink from so that would be nice to have and the wifi was unuseable.
It was cheap. Cleaning staff friendly. I never met the other hotel staff but I called them once and they were positive and helpful.

SpainIn principle all was OK but but there were some important issues: only one toilet had toilet paper and you can hear everything through thin walls. In the rooms there are no ventilation so during the night there is no replacement oxygen. Rooms have old, and a bit smelly, carpets. The pillow was old and lumpy. With small changes it could be a nice place.
Location was good. Receptionist was nice.

BelgiumThe room I'd booked to stay at with two children + myself had a baby cot as the third bed. Children are 12 and 15, luckily we ended up adding a second room for an extra traveler and we managed to relocate the third sleeper.
Proximity to the BayArena makes this the best in terms of location and value for money for the traveling supporter. Breakfast was very OK, beds were comfy. Building and inside looks a bit run down, but clean and functional.

NetherlandsThe early check-in instruction's confusing. I did as what's in the message the hotel sent me, but there's no keys for my room in the box outside, and nobody answered my phone call. Fortunately I managed to get in finally after 30min-waiting. Also, There's no shampoo.
The room is very warm and clean. The location is, though a bit far from the train station, good as there's supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly.

United KingdomThe balcony door didn’t lock at all and if I didn’t have a dog I wouldn’t have stayed. The bedroom door wouldn’t shut the bathroom door wouldn’t lock and the heating was full on in the hallway even though it was 25oc. The parking I was charged €7:50 for I had to illegally mount a curb to obtain. I don’t expect much for the price but I did expect basic safety and to be able to stay with in the law.
The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable
