Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandOne of our rooms had a old funky smell but nothing you cant get over. A bit hot in the rooms but outside was already a little colder so opening the window helped

PolandNo aircon, no fan, windows facing south onto a main road. Unbearably hot and noisy. The climate is changing and this sort of facility should consider that.
Helpfull staff, free parking, large room. Located within walking distance of the historic centre.

BelgiumThe reception closes at +-16h, which could be a problem if you arrive late. This luckily didn't apply to me.
Breakfast was really good, there was enough choice. The hotel was at a walking distance of 5 minutes of the centre of the city centre. There were enoug parking spaces in front of the hotel. Staff was really helpful. They offered coffee at arrival and helped me find a car repair shop. So all in all great service.

United KingdomThat the lobby was closed so no where to sit or have drinks, no facilities in room to make a coffee so once the reception closed at 4 you had to go back into town for refreshments also very noisy at the front no fan or air conditioning so very hot with windows closed to block out noise but even then didn’t help. Photos of hotel are misleading as show what a nice lobby and seating area shame it’s closed from 4pm until breakfast
It was central to the town so a short walk and free parking

United KingdomA bit of a pain walking into Nordlingen as you have to go around via the main road but this is a minor thing, it’s only about a 10 minute walk. Room could have been a little better value for what it was, in my opinion, but happy with my stay
Good shower, clean, quiet, everything worked, fan in room

GermanyThe check-in would have been very awkward if we did not have a phone with us as there was nobody there to check us in at the specified time. However, on the front door, there was a telephone number to call and the people on the other end were able to give us the access number to enter into the hotel and into our room.
The hotel was in a great location. Directly across from the train station in yet close enough to the old town that you could easily walk in. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There was a fan in the room to help with the heat.

United KingdomThere was just one thing: If there isn't any air conditioning, that's okay, but in that case, at least have some mosquito nets installed on the windows, and a working fan in every room. And the hotel could have used a good vacuuming. Other than these, and especially for the price, it was amazing.
Rooms, mood, ease of use, personnel, location and the pastries in the morning at the reception were all awesome. We've especially liked that there were many good restaurants and shops around, and that the city "gate" was a 3 minute walking distance.

ItalyNobody at the reception, ever. The morning we checked out once again nobody, but just a lady came from the kitchen and spoke just German. How is it possible to leave a reception during check out hours?? And people working in a hotel not speaking a single word but their own language? In the end I could not pay and the lady wanted me to leave on a piece of paper my credit card details, and leave it at an empty reception! Never happened before!
Nice room, good breakfast, private parking.

CanadaWe had to close the window at night because of shouting and music from the rail station. We liked that the room had a mini fridge, but because it was unstaffed at night we did not have anyone to ask to borrow even a fork or knife.
The art hotel is actually a new facade on an older hotel. We kind of liked the character of the interior, it was a bit of a throwback. The bed was huge. Not staffed in the evening but check-in went fine through the lock box. Good free parking in the rear.

Czech RepublicThe check-in system is a bit odd. The key box by the door wasn't working when we (and other guests) arrived and we had to wait for quite a while standing outside for it to be sorted (there was no place to sit around). The room equipment is a little bit dated but overall it's not bad value for money.
The hotel is very well located just outside the historical centre of the town. We also appreciated its parking right in front of/behind the hotel building and a pet friendly attitude. We didn't have breakfast which we regretted in the end.
