As above, just a very old fashioned hotel. Parking and city tax did increase the bill a little more than I expected too

The reviews I’d read on booking.com were a fair reflection of our stay. This is quite an old and dated hotel. It was like visiting my nans house in regard to the furnishing! However the location is amazing and Baden Baden was way better than I expected, fantastic for a 1 or 2 day stop so the value for money at this hotel was good. Even though it looks tired it was clean and comfortable, the bed and shower were decent and the breakfast was very nice. I’d read a couple of things about the staff being a little brusque but although they weren’t throwing cartwheels in having us there I think language was a bit of a problem and that is wholly our problem as their English was better than my German

Great walking distance to all the attractions around the area and to cafes restaurants. Comfortable bed and good breakfast freshly made egg selection. Friendly staff who spoke some English. We enjoyed our stay .

Lovely ‘back in time’ place with fabulous art work and bits and pieces around the place. Had character unlike so many (expensive) places. Our room was huge- great for some stretching and yoga in the morning and space for bags, shoes etc. hooks for hanging up coats! So good!

The man in the reception is experienced and provides all necessary info if you are careful and patient enough not to get irritated by his "local sense" of humor (maybe due to me speaking english)

Right at the centre of Baden-Baden, you can enjoy the town on foot. Easy and not expensive parking if you follow the instructions of the reception. The hotel is old but has an atmosphere. Very good breakfast.

Convenient location for Friedrichsbad and Caracalla thermal spa. I was very pleased with the breakfast selection offered in the morning. Good value for money!

This hotel is in a great location, right next to the thermal baths and close to all the restaurants etc. It is also a good base for hiking in the Black Forest, as there are hiking trails that start just above the hotel. It was very quiet, the staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. I was offered two rooms on arrival, so was able to choose the one that best suited me. It was spacious and comfortable. A kettle in the room would be nice.

The description led to believe the hotel had its own car park: "drive up and we will tell you". They do but it is a public car park, paying obviously. It is not that far away, but still inconvenient when needing something from the car.

The single room I booked was large and had a very comfortable double bed. Very good breakfast. Ideal location in front of the spa's.

Feels like it needs a bit of renovation, but that is probably difficult since the prices are so low.

The place needs some renovation and improvement, it hasn't been done for quite a long time.

If you come to Baden-Baden to enjoy spa centers, then this hotel has a perfect location, literally in front of Friedrichsbad and Caracalla. The hotel is family owned and has a lot of history in it, the whole family is still working there. Considering super location it is worth the money you pay.

We had booked a double room but due to a flooding issue we were given two seperate rooms. They were okay but the hotel is a little dated

The location was fantastic for walking into the town, although there was no parking included, there was a car park nearby which was okay.

Old style hotel but that has his own charm. Location is just perfect, litterally in front of the two therma's in Baden Baden. The room we got had a big jacuzzi bath (no a real jacuzzi with bubble though), and that was great to recover from the trip. Parking at the hotel (with extra charge) was handy as walking, and parking are not necessarily easy in the city (steepy street).

I didn't read the reviews close enough to see it was an apartment down the block from the hotel. I didn't feel safe with my daughter in a separate apartment in a different building. I asked for parking information ahead of time and it was not provided.
