No elevator which makes it difficult with luggage. Staff are more than willing to assist. The hotel does not have a/c and normally not needed except there was a heat wave. They provided a fan and free water.

The breakfast is very good and fresh. The staff are excellent.

The building is very old so there is no elevator which made it a little difficult for us because we are getting old ....and a mini fridge in the room would have been nice

The bed was huge and so comfortable. Had two comforters for one bed which was so nice to sleep with. The balcony was gorgeous overlooking a little busy square with restaurants and shops. It was shared and having the door open could be loud as there were buskers. The hotel was under construction and there was work going on at midnight. Upon arrival they had me down for 2 rooms by mistake and had to check with the coworker despite me having proof of conversation and reservation for one double room. It was very confusing to find check in and you enter the hotel through the restaurant.

At night for around 5 hours there is an extremely bright spotlight that is switched on lighting up the front of the building, it focused on the windows of our room. The curtains in the room do not completely cover the whole front of the room, barely covering the windows, so the light did come through. Additionally, it didn't feel private in the room due to the curtains not being big enough.

The location is superb. Close to the baths and local shops. Its also in walking distance of the Faberge museum, and restaurants. The room was very pretty. We had a front room with a balcony overlooking the small square outside. The bed was large and very comfortable.

If you just happened to be here at Xmas as we were , choose another hotel. It was totally chaotic. A lot of stairs to get into the apartment.

Staff attention was the worst, we asked for a taxi a night before our departure early in the morning, the staff with not very good mood took all the data , she wrote, showed it to us , and in the morning the taxi did not arrive and we lost our train because we had to run to take a bus

I felt let down because I booked this hotel specifically due to its traditional, Bavarian prettiness but on arrival they did not give us a room in the main hotel. They gave us a room/apartment across the square above a kebab shop. Nice but not pretty or Bavarian looking. I asked to be moved to the main hotel, and after a lengthy phone call they agreed.

The hotel is very Bavarian, which is why I booked it. It’s decoration is very pretty

The staff could have been friendlier and the breakfast was adequate but a bit disappointing.

The location is exceptional, in the middle of everything. Room was very cute with lots of character.

The only complaint was the car park arrangement which involves ringing the hotel to request a member of staff to come and raise the barrier every time you wished to reenter. It never caused any big issues but felt a little awkward because we went out in the car 6 out of 6 days.

A really nice traditional hotel with lots of authentic and individual features. It incorporates a popular restaurant in a busy corner of town. We enjoyed the breakfast choices and the staff were always helpful and efficient. Our room was fairly spacious, very comfortable and serviced to a high standard.

The hotel is decorated in a fun, rustic, romantic way way and has lots of surprising elements on display around various corners. The location was in the old part of town, so no direct access with the car Parking was in parking garage up the road. Breakfast was good.

Fantastic location in centre of Baden-Baden. It's a small but cosy hotel and the room was comfortable. Good, modern bathroom and excellent shower. Very good breakfast. Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed itself was fine but our bedsheet was very uncomfortable - very rough to the skin, full of tiny balls of fabric, and we were not able to sleep ok. The pillows were also very strange as if they consisted of many large pieces of cotton wool. One pair of slippers was previously used by someone else.

The hotel is centrally location in the Old Town, not far from spas. Our room was spacious. Friendly staff. We really liked the charm of the hotel and its decor.

If you are travelling around Christmas be aware that the hotel has a light display that will block the access to your balcony and it is accompanied by music that plays every 15 or so minutes.
