The carpet and furnishings in the room were old and for the price they charge should be updated. Most of the staff are very gracious and very nice. Sadly the woman at the checkout with dyed reddish hair and tattoos was unbelievable nasty. I asked about the charges that I was being asked to pay for and she threatened to call the police!! I had prepaid the room for 4 days. This was just the charges for city taxes which I thought were covered according to booking. I of course paid the fees, but not without this insult and headache. Yup I am a Black person. This lady should be fired, she had a very poor attitude and was so trashy!

Dining area and lots of rooms could be pretty stuffy. Very old furniture. The pool closes at 8. Very strict on dinner requiring reservations and also ended fairly early, at 8. Overall not super flexible. It was also pretty expensive.

The view was outstanding! And loved the amenities for the kids and whole family. Great spa area and pool and places to play. Breakfast was great. Free parking was nice.

This is a lovely place right at the bottom of the alps. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. Both the receptionists and the breakfast staff was excellent. I will come back

In the night the hotel is not lighten enough, there’s only a tiny light on the hallways and one at the reception, nothing in the restaurant nor in the garden. I get that the restaurant and the pool is closed but with no light is pretty creepy. I wanted to go out in the garden to watch the perseids meteor shower but couldn’t find the exit/ didn’t know if i’m allowed to go out. The reception is closed after 9 so I couldn’t ask anyone. I feel like the reception should be opened until 10, especially in the summer. The downsides are just a suggestion and small details,not relevant for everyone, but the rest was amazing.

I arrived before the room was ready but the stuff let me take a shower and leave my luggage there. You get a free travel card for the train up to the lake and also the stuff told me everything there is to visit. The room was perfect, spacious enough for one person. The breakfast was delicious.

In my room I didn’t have shower towel, just one for hands. And restaurant was poor.

Not much to say here except that some servives offered in the directory (pickup at the station for instance) was unavailable when requested. I also think a coffee and tea station in the room would be a great addition.

This very charming hotel was exactly the Bavarian fantasy! Everything you need for a city break to explore this part of the alps. Food at the restaurant was delicious and in inhouse sauna makes for a comfortable way to unwind after exploring the eibsee or hiking.

I liked the restaurant, very traditional German fare and lovely entertainment but the kids weren’t so enamoured with the choices available. Breakfast was fantastic for all.

It was unfortunate that there was no lunch available, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby

The hotel is in a nice quiet location up the hill from Garmisch. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. I particularly like having eggs cooked to order every morning. It's so much better than the scrambled eggs that have been sitting forever. A very nice touch were the name tags on the tables for each meal. You always knew where you're table was. The staff was great and the view from the balcony was wonderful.

Carpet and beds are worn off in the room, clean but clearly oldish. Not a negative, but more of particularity - people of older generation seems to favour the hotel, did not see much youth.

Staff at the reception was nice. Breakfast and wellness area (which included 2 saunas, pool and a massage table) were great. Owner was very friendly and talked with the guests at breakfast and even gave me a lift when I needed to go to train station in the rain and did not have umbrella. Rooms very clean and generally the hotel is very well thought through and equipped well (spare umbrellas, newspaper, souvenirs you can by right at the hotel, post box if you want to send a postcard).

The swimming pool was not heated, which was A TOTAL SHAME!! There is no excuses for this. There are also other complaints here from previous guests
