How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing! This was a great stay. We have been traveling across Europe for two weeks and this was easily the best hotel we stayed in.
The room was fantastic! Much bigger than I expected with a great kitchenette. The beds were very comfortable! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Fantastic breakfast the next day as well.

I liked everything
Everything. The room was amazing, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel itself beautiful and pleasant. We had te check in and they have a key system that worked perfectly remotely. The value for money was unbeatable.

The streets were closed throughout the neighborhood making it difficult to find it.

the staff is absolutely fantastic, specially the man that helped us to check in and was always helpful and caring for our needs! our little boy usually doesn’t like new places at first but he was super comfortable here! food at the restaurant is very good quality and taste, despite being a bit pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for! everyone super friendly! garage was also very convenient! thanks a lot!

Excellent modern hotel. Spacious fresh and bright rooms (apartments) with a kitchen, coffee machine and other equipment (including big refrigerator). Contactless check-in via mobile application (room's door are opening with mobile phone). Nice staff on the reception. Good private ungeground parking. It is very interesting hotel - definitely the best place to stay in Chemnitz!

Unusually, I can't think of a single thing!
The staff were genuinely helpful. We turned up at 9.45 on a Saturday night and the chef made a plate of vegetables for my slightly fussy wife! The room was huge, and had lots of quirky, tasteful touches. Everything was well thought out. My one suggestion would be to change the name: "boarding-house" in English sounds cheap and a bit tacky, and this was anything but. Recommended.

I didnt expected that I will have to pay 12 Eur for my 3 1/2 old son for hist attendence on breakfast. Hi litteraly ate one small roll and 5 strawberries.
I really like lady on reception she was very helpful and made good impression about her attitude for work. Room was spacy, quiet and my wife loved large bath. I loved food in restaurant!

Nothing, it was all perfect
The staff was super friendly, the integrated vinotheque had an exceptional choice. Breakfast was well balanced and moderately priced. The rooms stylish and brand new and spotless clean, the WIFI super fast. A 10 minute walk brings you to the centre and the cool Am Brühl area, equipped with nice bars and restaurants. If i ever go back, i would go again to Alexxxanders, nowhere else

No air con, really poor toiletry’s in bathroom just 2 small bottles of cheap shower gel, no separate shampoo no lotion etc. house keeping burst into our room on our last day at 9am?!. Not good value for money- when we stayed but prices were extremely high due to moto gp being on -it’s probably worth the price paid when it is priced at its usual rates but not at its inflated rates. I thought I had booked breakfast with the room rate, upon check in the guy asked us did we want breakfast I said yes that I had booked it with the room, on check out we had to pay for breakfast we had on top if the ridiculously high prices we paid …. Why didn’t the guy at check in alert me to the fact that breakfast was not on the room?!
