How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

The bathroom in my third floor room was terrible. While the shower was great, they put the toilet in a very tight location in the far corner that made it practically unusable.
Great location near the cathedral.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Location is great in city centre with walkable distance everywhere. The rooms are clean a lot bit outdated. We had family room. Pool small but did the job for our kids.

We stayed one night while traveling back home, and it was a great choice! The hotel was very good, with a cozy and comfortable room, perfect for staying with kids. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making our short stay even better. Having a restaurant inside was super convenient, and the parking was easy and accessible. The location was also great, close to downtown, restaurants, and shops. A perfect stop for a comfortable and hassle-free stay, highly recommended!

The bathroom was sort of small. It was difficult to understand how to close / open the window shutters. The switch was on the opposite side of the room, not next to the window.
The parking slot - as reserved - did wait for us. The rooms are clean and warm, beds are fine. There are even additional pillows available. The hotel has a nice - German type restaurant and a nice choice of beer and wine. The breakfast is included in the price - inclusive with Bavarian Weisswurst.

The family room was a bit dated.
Great location in the city center. Large room with some privacy for the extra bed. Really good breakfast, nice staff, good restaurant. Small but just enough spa at the end of the day. It was a good choice.

Sauna is not Instagramable, but was clearly created by the person, who understands saunas. Room was nice, but wifi didn't work on tv, so no netflix, just chill ;) The restaurant exceeded expectations, much better than a number restaurants in the city.

Breakfast was Super, though limited in choices. Location was perfect! Was so easy to walk around and most importantly knowing how to head back to the hotel, using the Minster as the landmark.

My early booking was cancelled due my own mistake, so it went relatively expensive to rebook.
Nice service in breakfast, also outdoor sitting area. Hotel restaurant is also very affordable.

A bit of a steep hill for parking your car, but alas :)

The room (under the attic) was quite outdated. In summer it might be an issue to be under the roof without proper air conditioning. The huge window to the balcony did not have a curtain so the room was light early morning. All in all we were happy, but it was a wee bit too expensive.
Great location in the car free old city center. Nearby an unground parking. Great evening bar, and drinks and staff. Even after close of the bar you can sit with whatever number of drinks you’ve ordered in a comfortable lounge. Very good breakfast.

The pool was small. I would liked to have the bathrobes but we didn't have. In the evening was noise (outside in the front of the windows of the room, some people were washing metal trash cans...happily, they finished at 10 P.M. and we could sleep . One of the walls had a small stain of dirt...
The location is great ! The breakfast was excellent ! The room is beautiful ! Nice staff !

This was a perfect location for us as we were visiting for the Euros and each of us wanted a single room which the hotel provided us. The accommodation was comfortable, the rooms were nice and quiet, and the breakfasts were excellent. We also ate at the hotel most evenings we stayed there and the food was fantastic - local dishes and large portions!
