How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Availability of numbers on the official website differs from the information provided on booking.com. The quality of mobile l network eaves much to be desired, but this is not critical, since the Wi-Fi worked stably.
As always, excellent room service and especially the restaurant, to which we return many times. Every time possible we visit this cozy hotel and restaurant. Thank you!

The road that goes past gets quite busy at peak times.
All solid, well equipped and well looked after. Good restaurant, friendly staff. Not too far off the A1 Autobahn, but in the countryside.

The room was in an annexe which required going outside and crossing the entrance drive. No problem in lovely weather, which we didn't have, though the rain was only light and wasn't a problem.
Impressive entrance and reception area. Very tasteful decor in the dining room. Excellent dinner, though prices more upmarket than our usual Booking .com choice of hotels. Very comfortable room with excellent facilities. Lovely hotel

The cellular connection works very poorly (but of course this is not the hotel’s fault). The coffee machine was broken, cappuccino and hot milk did not work. The restaurant is only open until 21-00. The wait for a meal in the restaurant was more than 30 minutes. A baby bed is available for an additional cost of EUR 20 per two days.
Nice and cozy hotel in the countryside 50 minutes from Hamburg and 30 minutes from Bremen. It is very convenient to stop if you are driving along the highway. We made a special stop when we traveled to Hamburg. A very good restaurant, we specifically came to the hotel because of it. Unfortunately, on the first day of your stay, the restaurant turned out to be closed at 21-00, be careful about opening hours. Pleasant staff and service. Good breakfast and the room we lived in.

We've used this hotel before as it's a really good stopover when travelling from Holland into Denmark. It's secure, peaceful and has a lovely restaurant with a great ambience and delicious food.

Some small steps leading up to the main entrance could be an issue for disabled customers.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good restaurant, nice food and ambience. Very reasonably priced. Good location for travellers going to or from northern Germany and Scandinavia.

A very minor comment - the bottom of the shower didn't seal very well which allowed some water to escape on to the floor
Room was very clean and comfortable and we had an excellent dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very isolated and no mobile signal. No other complaints
Although in the middle of farmland with no shops or services around this hotel is excellent. Staff are very helpful and the food for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Be aware there is no mobile signal at this property so only WiFi option. Overall a very comfortable stay with modern clean rooms

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area in the countryside - great night's sleep - but it is not at all far from the main road network. The rooms are large, very comfortable, quiet and have amazing views. The restaurant is a separate building, and both dinner and breakfast are to be recommended. We ate dinner outside on the shady terrace. Excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere.
