We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewExcellent for stop off on a long drive. Room was big enough for 3 and clean. Fantastic to have pool and gym available. This is the second year we have stopped off here. We tried the restaurant this year too which was excellent. Also very close to a petrol station and Lidl to refuel before onward travel.
Wish there was a fridge in the room.

Verified reviewWe had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. The receptionist (or the lady in charge of bookings) was extremely rude and uncooperative at the time of check-in. Despite showing her our confirmed reservation from Booking.com, she made us wait for almost 30 minutes without any valid reason. When we politely asked to see the room before checking in, she outright refused, saying it’s “not allowed,” which was honestly quite surprising and unprofessional. As a Genius member on Booking.com who has stayed at over 50–60 hotels, this is the first time we’ve encountered such poor service. The room itself lacked basic amenities, and the corridors smelled bad, clearly not cleaned properly. Overall, it did not feel welcoming or worth the price. Definitely not recommended—there are better options in the same area with better service and cleaner facilities.

The room does not look as good as on the picture, it is very old interior. It was also not ‘spacious’ and instead of the 32sqm probably 22. The WiFi is not working like so many other guests write it. In total it is ok for one night. They wrote high floor and we were on the second floor.

Verified reviewOur room was lovely and spacious, and had air-conditioning, which, considering the temperatures during our stay were around 34°C was not only a bonus, but a necessity! The bathroom was clean, and nicely appointed. We did notice some dust on surfaces in the bedroom, but put this down to the aircon being on a lot. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast buffet really good, with more than enough choice of food options. The onsite car park was very large, and despite the hotel being really busy at times, we were always able to park. The onsite Abacco steakhouse restaurant served excellent steaks and salads, and we ate there each night for convenience, as there was nowhere else locally, without using the car. The hotel seems to mainly cater for business guests, but it was fine for us visiting the nearby Porsche Museum.
Just a couple of small items: there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, though we were given a tray with some on to take up with us, and there were no communal tea/coffee areas in the foyer either, which would gave been a nice alternative in a hotel of this standard. The guest WiFi is difficult to access, and the receptionist ended up giving us the hotel's own secure login details, which was very helpful.
