Bad WiFi signal, actual room not the same as picture. Looked nicer on pictures. No AC, my mistake but very warm during summer. Windows were hard to crack open.

It was quiet and quiet street. Free street parking. Breakfast was expensive but lots of fresh fruit and variety. Bathroom was clean.

no coffee in the room. When I ask for it, even I proposed to pay, they did not gave it to us. It was not like they did not had it, it was a breakfast time and other client were having it. This was very wierd, they asked us to buy from a bakery located 400 m away from the property.

Exceptionally clean and quiet. Exceptionally minimalist. Perfect for a sleep stop, en route to my destination. Breakfast was good and honest and plentiful. Getting all of the basics right. Be advised no services outside of the room and breakfast are not available and the location is urban on the outskirts of Aachen. Parking is free in thw road around the hotel. Friendly reception staff.

- The hallway of the room always was cold - The window in my room was so old that one side of the window separated in 2 parts (means the window is actually broken) - TV had few TV Channels but it was very limited

- It was a room where a bed, bathroom and fresh towels are given. -The room was cleaned every day and towels were exchanged even when you hanged them in the bathroom to reuse them.

I got room number 22 and here are some details that can spoil a stay in this hotel for someone who is sensitive to such minor mishaps, including: No bag in the trash can, I had to throw the garbage loose, directly into the trash can, no air conditioning at over 30°C, so at this temperature the hotel walls got so hot that it was probably 50°C in the room itself. It's good that I could open the window wide (also not good because it doesn't prevent possible suicide attempts), but a bit of cold entered my room at night. To close the room from the outside, you have to struggle a bit because the key and the lock still remember the times of the Holy Inquisition and from the inside cannot be locked at all because the same key no longer enters from the other side as it should. Very dark even though all the lights were on. My bed creaked a lot and I don't even weigh 90 kg, the light switches were very low, as if they were installed for morbidly short people, and finally, there were no collecting containers or cutlery during breakfast. Everything is calculated for one person, without the possibility of purchasing additional cutlery unless you'll ask for it a butler.

Overall, the hotel is not bad and although it is obviously an old building, it is located in a nice location with free parking lots everywhere, including right in front of the hotel. Even on foot it is close to the center. Buses also run nearby. Very nice service at the reception who speaks English, plus I received a map of the city with the most important places to visit marked. The lady at the reception explains everything nicely, so I received a reliable answer to every question I asked. A good and fresh breakfast, and the quantity is constantly monitored by the crew so that nothing will missing on the table for a guests. I've got room number 22, I don't have many complaints, clean bedding, Wi-Fi access and everything was clean. A beautiful and unique city worth to visit and spend some relaxing time there.

We asked for the coffee in the morning and they told coffee is only for guest who ordered breakfast (13 Euro). No water bottles, coffee, tea ,hot water kittel, no complementary. Overall it not value for money. If you do not have any other hotels then you can go for this.

We ordered a glass of wine (as refreshment on the terrace, not with a meal) but the quality was really not good at all. This put us off any further such purchases.

The fact that despite the somewhat dated hotel infrastructure it was well maintained and clean. The breakfast spread was excellent.

They did not offer later check in, when we asked as we were headed there after work. We changed our plant to arrive tomorrow morning so we lost one night. It was fixed in the the stone.
