Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaNothing. It was brilliant. (Ok. Maybe access to a swimming pool but I didn’t expect one.)
Really fun place with quirky details everywhere. Room well designed and beautiful. Lots of surprises (esthetic, fun) everywhere. Worth exploring… Staff very friendly and welcoming, the joy seems authentic. We had a great time there and felt like staying longer. Also, some niche surprises in terms of service and perks. Would love to go back!

EgyptEverything was great, but it couldn’t been better if there’s a more sealed door for the shower, as it leaked outside a bit.
A fantastic stay from start to finish. The hotel is brilliantly located — extremely central, safe, and walking distance to everything you might need in Munich. While the room was compact, it was exceptionally well designed, making creative use of the space without sacrificing comfort. Every inch of the hotel is thoughtfully curated, with a unique and playful aesthetic throughout. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the daily room cleaning was impeccable. The bar has a fun, lively vibe — a great place to unwind in the evening. A special touch was the complimentary minibar, which felt like a generous and personal gesture. AC also worked great

United KingdomCould have done with more drawers for storing clothes. Plenty of wardrobe space though
I loved the quirky things that were located throughout the hotel eg.typewriter in the room, miniature tableau in the lift, bag in the room to use. Also loved having a kettle and mugs for making tea and coffee, not always a given. Free drinks in the fridge, lovely touch.

United StatesThe light switches were a little hard to figure out.
The room is large and faced the train station. I was worried for the noise. But no problem. The windows are sealed well. But I did notice the vibration of the trains.

NetherlandsRoom was far too small, i understand that there was a small and a medium and then bigger room so i booked the medium but space was very limited, pic set up of bed was different, not even a bedboard. Bad lightning at the entrance, no plugs next to one side of the bad and obviously no night table but a kind of big bowl. Mattress had its life and need to be replaced, goes down too much in the middle and it s far from comfortable. When we checked out they didnt even ask how the stay was and minibar went into the room while there was a do not disturb sign
Staff is great, love the concept, stayed already at their hotel in zurich, nice breakfast but expensive compared to the other hotels and n the area.

GermanyThe rooms layout is not comfortable. The TV is too small and far from the bed, it makes it really hard to watch TV. The room was on the last floor, the curtains fall too far from the window taking over the space, and the mezzanine structure is on the way to get to the bed, one has to be careful and bend to be able to make it to the bed. At the breakfast, the bread was not fresh at all. It was clearly from the day before. I asked the waitress for fresh bread, she got some from the kitchen that were reheated but still not fresh. We were at the restaurant at 8 am, I dont think this is acceptable.
Well centered - rooms has nice amenities. The staff is nice too. The room was clean.

United StatesThe breakfast was great but I wish I had not prepaid as our flight was changed and we missed one morning. The lounges were packed at night and the prices were reasonable. I wish the public areas could have been used by guests during the day / evening as was pictured in their websites as our room did not have a chair-- only two three pronged " milking stools" as chairs so we could not plan the next day or play cards- nothing but sleep in the room. Long lines at check in. This is a young peoples hotel and is great for them! The best part is the easy access to the main train station.

United StatesOutside at times was challenging, there were so many people sitting and smoking on the steps it was hard to enter….most of the people weren’t even guests of the hotel. At times it didn’t feel safe. Room was very dusty, walls were painted dark green so easy to see.

BrazilThe room was not clean, lots of dust everywhere, cobwebs on the window. It probably hadn't been vacuumed for a long time. Another negative point is that although the vibe was super positive, the reception team was efficient, but they didn't seem very happy with their work, not very friendly. The room was also very dark, I understand the issue of it being atmospheric, but you just couldn't see much.
The hotel is super nice, the location is excellent, close to the central station and in front of a tram station. It has a lively vibe, the restaurant is very good as is the bar. I got a medium room which was spacious and the shampoo, soaps were all very good. I arrived late, at 11pm to check in and the restaurant team was very nice in making me a dish to eat in the room. Another very positive point was that they allowed me a late check-out at 2pm.
