Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

NetherlandsWe had a great stay, but the staff can be rude at some times. The area can feel a bit unsafe in the evenings as it’s close to a main station.
Great hotel, with comfortable rooms and great views over the zoo. It’s close to main tourist spots and the walking distance from the gay neighbourhood. The breakfast is worth the price with a good selection.

United KingdomWorking bath but this was quickly remedied by moving room.
We initially had a room on the far right side of the 5th floor on the "jungle" side which had reported views over the zoo. This was technically true however a large metal roof interupted the view from the room which was not ideal. We got moved to the far left side of the 8th floor as our bath did not work and this view is what we hoped for and initially expected, clear views of the zoo. So bascially ask for a room on the highest floor possible. The staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms are tight but really well designed, especially the little library we had in our room. The location is ideal for any part of Berlin as the public transport is excellent. The Monkey bar is really cool and a great place to get a drink but as it is so popular be ready for it being busy at the weekends. We had breakfast on our first morning there and it was nice but definitely not worth the price as there are numerous good alternatives locally and far cheaper. I would stay in this hotel again as the service was exceptional.

United KingdomBEFORE WE ARRIVED i EMAILED SEVERAL TIMES AND GOT NO REPLY FROM THE HOTEL THE BED PILLOWS WERE AWFUL AND WE HAD TO ASK FOR 4 MORE!
LOCATION EXCELLENT FOR EATING OUT, AND SHOPPING. NEED TO TAKEPUBLIC TRANSPORT TO BRANDENBURG GATE AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS. PROXIMITY TO THE TIERGARTEN IS A PLUS POINT.

United KingdomThe only criticism I would have is that there was no chair in the room, so nowhere to sit and work.
Nice modern hotel in a good location, with a good sized room and I liked the Monkey Bar on the top floor in the evening. I enjoyed the terrace outside the restaurant for breakfast, and the terrace outside Monkey Bar was a lively place at night. The huge Berlin Zoo is right next door, as is the main station with a train direct to the Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which BA flies from. So that was very convenient with no need for expensive taxis.

SpainWe did not get the hotel room we had originally booked. The hotel staff said they had tried to contact us, and when I asked how, I was told they didn’t have my phone number. However, they could have easily messaged us through Booking.com. We were offered the correct room the following day, but I explained that this wasn’t possible as we were running the Berlin Half Marathon. The staff said they would move our belongings for us. The next morning, I made sure everything was packed and ready, which took considerable effort. But when I returned in the evening, the move hadn’t been done. The staff then told us we should have requested it again. Repeatedly, they tried to shift the blame for their mistake onto us. The hotel itself is excellent in every way—except for the attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, there is no sense of “customer first” from them. I truly hope they work on improving that.

United KingdomThere wasn’t much storage space for clothes. Also, not very private if you’re sharing a room with someone, as the shower is in full view! Also the room was too warm and you couldn’t open the window as the street below is so noisy.
The restaurant and bar were lovely, with good food and fantastic views. The sauna was really enjoyable. Great location. Room was very individual and clean.
