“The location was fine for me working in Jena. Room, food, and staff were excellent. The staff couldn't do enough to help, and so attentive to every detail. It was a pleasure to stay there.”
“Very clean and comfy place for a short or longer stopover in Weimar. We had everything we needed in terms of amenities, including space in and outside of the hotel for kids and our pet. We will stay there again.”
“The room is very small but clean. This wasn't really a problem, because we stayed only one night. The real problem was the kids beds. They was covered with a plastic mat and no bed sheets. I understand that some kids might have accidents and you try to protect the bed, but you can put a bed sheet on top of plastic mat.
Non of my kids was able to sleep in that beds and we was forced to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids in 2 single beds.
Breakfast was good full with lots of choices, but was nobody at the entrance in the restaurant to check if I have breakfast included or no. I was half way through my meal when someone came and ask me to show him the reservation. It was a desk , probably for self check at the entrance in restaurant, but it was in German language and me being from a different country I was unable to understand.
I not a bad place to stay, but it can be better.”
“This small hotel is on a side street near the centre of Weimar. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Bedroom was comfortable with a good shower.
Very close to the bus stop for Buchenwald Concentration Camp and the railway station. There is a nice bar and small restaurant opposite the hotel.”
“I have been to Weimar several times, so I have tried both smaller and larger hotels in this beautiful city. I always look for a hotel that is in the center, but at the same time quiet, which means that it does not have windows to a busy street. The Best Western Premier Grand Russischer Hof completely exceeded all my expectations! The hotel is right in the center, I stayed in a room that has windows to a side street, so it was absolutely quiet. The room had a very comfortable bed, a beautiful bathtub and was generally beautifully equipped. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Of all the hotels I have tried in Weimar, this one is definitely the best. In the others, I was bothered by the noise or not very professional staff or the room was nice but had little storage space. I am very glad that I discovered this gem among hotels!”
“The hotel is excellent - spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, very well situated for the Frauenplatz, Goethe's house, Schiller's house etc. There is an underground car park with its own section for the hotel, separate from the section for the general public.
A tip for anyone on a motorcycle. There is a sign at the car park entrance, unhelpfully situated too late to allow you to turn around, saying no bikes allowed. Being too late to turn around, I went through to the hotel section. You can get past the barrier even on a large bike (BMW R1250RT). I paid for parking, of course, but don't be put off by that sign.”
