There were none of the things that are common in hotels now - ice bucket, kettle and coffee/tea supplies, adequate electrical outlets for electronics. The bathtub had a showerhead but no shower curtain. The first night I was there I could get water to come from the shower head, but not the faucet below. The next day, after housekeeping had cleaned the room, the water came from the lower faucet in the tub, but not the showerhead.

Very friendly staff. Located not too far from the University, close to the castle, nice walking areas nearby. Quiet area.

We didn’t really like the breakfasts and the staff working there, they was rude. There were two types of scrambled eggs, both undercooked with raw egg whites and yolks, making it impossible for guests to have a proper breakfast.

The room was quite clean upon check-in. The housekeeping service during our stay was excellent—we were satisfied. The reception staff and housekeeping personnel were friendly and polite. The location is wonderful

Its not the most modern hotel in the world, and some things would deserve an update, but towels and bed sheets are crispy white, bed is comfortable, breakfast are delicious, staff is friendly and price is mode that adequate. great for budget traveling with a touch of luxury :) would return again

The hotel was pleasant on the eye internally. Check-in and out was easy. The room was comfortable but could have been a little quieter. The shower head needed a de-chalking but there was still enough water. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of choice of hot and cold options although the coffee was awful (made from syrup).

I stayed in this hotel about a week ago, and I commented about the poor breakfast issue. It seems that no one cares, so this time, I will give you really low scoring. At 8.30 a.m. there were no eggs again, and no one troubled themselves to replenish the eggs or even the bread until 9.30 a.m. which is the time the breakfast is over. Also, this time, I have been allocated a room somewhere at the bank of the building on a second floor where there is no lift. Please make sure all the rooms on all floors in the hotel are accessible by lift.

The breakfast was basic as expected for the price paid. That is absolutely fine. You can not expect a luxurious breakfast for this rate. The breakfast was however fresh and it has all the basic stuff. Everything in it was fresh and nicely presented. The only problem was that the staff stopped replenishing all the eggs by 9.30 a.m. even if I asked them to - they refused to re- fill the egg dishes with a comment, " The breakfast is almost over anyways." No. I am afraid the breakfast is not over at 9.30 a.m. since officially the breakfast finishes at 10.00 a.m. I could understand that they are not going to replenish one kind of special cheese or desert at 9.30 a.m. but such a basic breakfast dish like fried and scrambled eggs is a must. You can not afford not to have any eggs half an hour ( 30 min ) before the breakfast is over. This can not be accepted.

All was fine within my expectations. The room was great and so were the facilities. The price is relatively low, so you can not expect much. However I love the old style of the hotel. Even if things are outdated , all is clean and in perfect working condition..

Old bathtub, no air-con

I mean the absolutely best part was the staff. The Lady at the reception was a total angel. She was the sweetest extremely helpful, caring and had a beautiful smile. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous but walls need a paint and bathtub really need changing. The toilet was brand new but the bathtub seen better days. I also think that nowadays air conditioning would be be great. But everything was clean and nice and it is historical building so soke of the things make sense. I missed the breakfast but I am sure they were absolutely delicious. Lucy

There wasn't anything we did not like.

Hotel Zlatá Štika is a pleasant and comfortable old-fashioned hotel, exactly the kind of place you would hope for in Pardubice. It has its own parking area next to the hotel and it is located at about five minutes walking from the central square. Our rooms (at the back) were nice and quiet. The receptionists were friendly and helpful (and spoke English very well, which was very convenient for us). The price we paid for two single rooms for one night was more than reasonable.

Happy with my stay overall

Obviously a well established hotel in Pardubice and a good choice for a four night stay. Receptionist very helpful, especially with bus times to the railway station. Good atmosphere all round. Hotel in right hand side of historic area. Would recommend a restaurant in the park south of the hotel, Stare Rybne. Pardubice pleasant to walk round. Enjoyed a train trip to Olomouc. Very much an alternative experience to being in Prague. All very pleasant. Good hotel choice.

I asked for a room with a shower for mobility reasons and I did receive this room BUT it was on the top floor with stairs (no lift) and the bed was very very low so difficult to get in and out.

The staff was very helpful especially with my early departure. I was unable to eat breakfast before I left because of the hour and they booked a taxi for me and packed a breakfast. The hotel is also very conscious of environmental impact and does not use single use toiletries in the room and provides water in glass bottles. The room was very large and although it faced the street was fairly quiet after 10. The only issue is described below regards accessibility

The curtains were too thin, you couldn't make the room completely dark. The breakfast was ok, but the restaurant was average, both food and service. The bed was too soft for my taste.

The hotel is pretty nice (especially liked the lovely aquarium at the reception). The bed was big enough to sleep with a toddler. Big parking space right next to the hotel.

Bed was a bit creaky

The room was clean and big enough for 3 persons. The bed could have been a little bit more comfortable. Good breakfast in the restaurant, The downtown is close to the hotel. It has private parking. Overall it's good value for the money

Room could have used a bit of refurbishment. A smart tv and possibility of hot drinks in the room would have been nice.
