Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNic... Maybe more massage options and more English language teachers teaching history in English 😆 💕
Everything is amazing... amazing lively and lovely people with huge hearts and a family atmosphere 😍😍. Love it here. The castle itself is ancient and important in central Europe history. The park is epikkk. Thanks ROTTENHAMMERS 😆. The food was absolutely absolutely delicious and is the best in the Erzgebirge...I swear every day of my time here I was blown away.

United KingdomThe restaurant stopped taking orders at 7pm as the chef went home so if dessert was required you had to order at the start. Cheap gin, only Beefeater. The rooms were not cleaned regularly, clean towels were provided but the rooms especially the bathroom were not cleaned. No facilities, spa only open at night.
The food in the restaurant was OK, not brilliant but OK. Reasonably priced. The lady behind the bar was lovely & looked after us well, providing cold milk when requested for morning tea in our room.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast selection was rather small with no fruits/vegetables. The prices for non-menu food are quite high; 520 for a rib eye steak without a side dish is really overpriced, so one would at least expect nice plating, however the dishes seem to be just thrown on the plate. The kitchen taking the last order at 19:00 is very, very soon and non-traditional; I personally enjoy long stays in the restaurant, but if you don't want to dine at 17:00, it isn't possible and the dinner feels very rushed, which is unfortunate given the high prices. The owner walks around with a dog with a shock collar, always holding the remote control with his thumb ready on the shock button while carelessly and happily talking to customers; that instills a strong sense of cruelty and ignorance towards animals. The park (not the Obora) contains a lot of trash which is obviously long there, I and my girlfriend have collected and thrown out some, but the trash was very easy to spot so it feels like laziness/shortness of staff.
The feel of staying on a Chateau is wonderful; the rooms are quiet, well equipped, large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, going to extra lengths to help us as guests. Wellness in price of accommodation is wonderful, it looks beautiful and romantic. Nice Obora close to the Chateau, in which the nature is quite enchanting. Very nice pond next to the chateau for short walks. Prices of beer and beverages in general. The rooms were very clean and had comfortable beds. The view from hotel rooms is astonishing, but private at the same time. The toilet on P7 has also a very wonderful view. It was just on spot for a weekend given its surroundings since we don't have a car; if we had, there are many places to go to (e.g. 3 waterfalls in 20 km radius) but on foot there's nothing more than the Obora; however for us this was perfect ;)

Czech RepublicThat the restaurant closed early - 1830 last time to order food.
The building is fabulous and far exceeded my expectations - it is simply idyllic! The breakfast was standard fare, continental with normal buffet options. The restaurant isn't really set up for vegetarians, however, when asked the chef amended a dish on the menu for me. The restaurant closes early which is a shame, but on the flip side it was so quiet.

Parking slot was in opposite of hotel main entrance- not so nice for late evening arrival. Easy access to the hotel was blocked- no upfront information about.Stuff in the restaurant (dinner) was very friendly, at the breakfast way around….

SwedenSome of the rooms do not have their own bathrooms. The furniture could use some upgrading. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable, we could not sleep well. The breakfast is limited to a few items and the quality of the food is questionable. We have not eaten lunch or dinner at the castle. Our rooms were close to their storage, and the personnel started their work every morning (as they should) however without consideration for the guests who were possibly still sleeping.
The location is very nice - close to nature, very quiet, a lot of trees, a lake just behind the main building. Close to the village/city. Interesting art in the castle, on the corridors and in the interior garden. I think it is a place where a lot of events are organized, as they were installing a scene when we arrived and there were a lot of ads about cultural evenings in the reception. If you want to stay in an old castle away from the bucy cities, this is the place.
