How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This accommodation is both a kid-friendly and dog-friendly destination. The owners' understanding and accommodation of different guest needs creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. The property serves as an excellent base for walking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The surrounding woods offer delightful surprises including wild raspberry picking opportunities, while charming old cottages dot the landscape. Evening walks frequently reward guests with wildlife encounters, including deer and other local animals, creating magical moments in this naturally rich environment. The property has a nice ‘old’ look with a cosy vibe. The room is very clean. The food is amazing and the owners are super friendly! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel with my family, and we had an amazing time. The hosts were exceptionally nice and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is an old building with its own unique history, which added so much charm to our stay. The location is fantastic – it's a quiet place surrounded by beautiful scenery, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The food was really good, and we looked forward to every meal. Overall, our whole family really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant getaway.

mattress and pillows could be changed for newer.
Rooms were clean also food (not only on breakfast) was tasty and fresh. Furthermore owners were very kind and helpful. .

The owners are lovely people who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The place itself is very authentic with lots of quirky decorations. Cherry on the cake, the food was amazing and movie night was very nice! Thank you so much :)

maybe only veggies could be added to breakfast too.
There's nothing not to like. From the hosts, to location, through the facilities everything was perfect. Host speak Czech, Russian, English and does understand Polish which made everything so easy as we were an international group. Breakfast and dinner were excellent 👌 Perfect location to visit both Saxon & Bohemian Switzerland as well as spots like Dresden, Bautzen or Kokorin. Value is just incredible and the host is second to none.. highly recommended

There was nothing I did not like.
Every little detail of Villa Sunshine was prepared for the guests with care and hospitality. The host was amazing and super professional and skilful at his job, the best one ever. Everything super clean, tidy, nice and cozy. And the food - absolutely delicious homemade food.

This was the best unexpected experience! We went to this charming place fr new years and I couldnt imagine more family-like cozy place :) the food was just amazing! Ive tasted so many new flavors. And the owners were the most warm and friendly people. Not even mentioning the movie nights :) weve enjoyed the stay a lot!
