Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech Republicwe've selected the standard double room, but the mattresses were sliding off the bed constantly, as there was nothing that would hold them on the sides. so whenever we moved towards the middle part of the bed (in between the 2 mattresses) it would just slowly but surely move them apart from each other and we had to keep rearranging them :/ other than that, everything was perfect!
great location, few mins to the bus stop and city center cool, easy and self-explanatory check in and the whole design was nice! there's a shared kitchen and access to the terrace for a view the room was clean and really nice with a private bathroom (big plus!)

United KingdomThe check-in/check-out system was a nightmare! On arrival you are confronted with a "McDonalds type order screen" which requires a large amount of information to be entered before entry is allowed. When asked for ID type I was not given the option of using my passport which then prevented further information being entered. I eventually called the owner who contacted someone within the complex and the matter was resolved within a short period of time. I found this system stressful and annoying, prolonging the time required for check-in.
Absolutely loved the location of this hotel, less than 5 minutes from train/bus station and a large shopping centre. There was a convenient bus stop right outside the hotel with frequent services. The city centre was only a 10 minute pleasant walk. The accommodation was excellent, including a communal fully fitted kitchen area which I had not expected. My room was specious, light and airy and had an excellent external view. Three large windows which could all be opened allowed plenty of fresh air. There was an amazing amount of cupboard space in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was ultra-deluxe and I appreciated the drench shower facility.

United KingdomThe automated check-in was terrible. We (and another couple) tried several times to complete the check-in process using the electronic board, as instructed. It took us half an hour to check in, after driving for 3hours. Totally impersonal, nobody there to welcome us nobody to offer any help or advice about anything.

United KingdomThe room is on the small side but perfectly adequate. You are given only one sachet of shower gel each for a 2 night stay! We walked up two flights of stone stairs to reach our room but you are warned on the booking page that there is no lift.
The room was close to the station and to the centre of the old town. It was easy to check in. The bathroom was good. There was use of a small kitchen area, so we had access to a kettle. The owner was easy to communicate with and helpful.

United KingdomNote that the apartment is up several flights of stone stairs, with no lift. This should be made clear in the listing, for people who may struggle with stairs. The furniture is a bit eccentric.
The bathroom is newly installed and rather lovely, especially the powerful shower.

United KingdomBeds were horrible, matrace is very strange, pillows are worse then horrible. Dust in the bathroom radiator, you can't hang the towels there, because it is full of dust. Limited amount of shower gel, Only one little bin for the property. The hot water switched off after 10 p. m.? And self check-in/out kiosk is real disaster! I wouldn't stay again there and I wouldn't recommende even for a such attractive price.

MaltaThis place is equipped with self check-in which DOES NOT WORK. The PIN sent by the host via booking.com message did not work as it was not the correct one. (Photo attached) After contracting the host several times, he finally picked up and we managed to get it. We then had to check in through an automated machine but after inputting all the correct details, there was a fault and the key card to enter the property was not available. We tried to contact the host several times and he DID NOT pick up. What he did was call us “HANDICAP” for not being able to follow instructions. (Photos of exchanged messages attached) To top it up, there is NO LIFT to access the top floor and the room was dirty. Sticky floor, bathroom not properly cleaned, barely any natural light and mattress is old and extremely uncomfortable. After complaining to the host what he did was insult us, block our numbers and mark our booking as NO SHOW so we will not be able to leave a review. This is possible following communication to Booking.com. I do not understand how he is still allowed to rent his property!!!

Polandshower doesn't have protective screen, thats why all the water from shower is on bathroom floor which gets moisture to come within room. Check in process is kind of complex, whilst we have not received any message or email instructions from property owners. There is no information included for hotel description that elevator is missing and only stairs available which might be a problem for aged people
