The room was comfortable and we appreciated having somewhere to sit, and the free selection of herbal teas for guests. Hana was very kind and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including making sure there was gluten-free bread available at breakfast. The building and location are spectacular and we enjoyed the local walks a huge amount, even despite some of the more famous ones being closed when we visited.

Very convenient parking, the hotel is in the very center, between the mountains, there is a spring right next to the hotel, a very interesting place... the breakfast is very tasty, the staff is really very nice.... everywhere is clean and tidy. I recommend it.

I liked EVERYTHING. However I can imagine it being a little noisy if it’s full.

I literally liked everything! The place is out of a fairy tale (one that could also have ghost and dragons, just to spice up your stay!!!); we were lucky we almost had the place to our selves. The location itself has a very unique atmosphere. The place is taken care of in every little detail, creating a magical vibe. Everything super clean and atmospheric! Loved it!!! Congratulations!

Unusual hotel tucked away in a gorge. There's plenty of room to relax in the dining room and the bedroom was very cosy. Tea making facilities were available. Good area for walking and easy to get to with the railway station nearby.

Clearly a lot of thought and money has been invested in this transformation of the building and Hrensko has experienced difficult times due to severe floods in 2002 and 2013 and the fire that closed the Edmundsklamm until 2027 (at least, probably) and this provided much of the local tourist income. The room at the top was 90 steps from the car park. The gorge is dark and dank and the rooms, whilst the fittings are of good quality require upkeep. Our room had no curtains or blackout, and the separate bathroom had no working extractor fan and was a little damp by the end of our stay. However, we enjoyed our stay and I would still recommend this above other places in Hrensko.

Quirky, unusual and interesting building in a perfect location. Breakfast was very good and provided by a warm and friendly local person. Ideal spot for exploring the cesky svycarsko and the malerweg.

Great little hotel with a nice history! We arrived later in the evening where the hotel reveals it's beauty at night with the nice light settings. Very good starting point for some hiking tours. We recommend the stay here!

There is nothing I didn’t like

The place looks like a fairytale little house. Everything was super clean, the decoration was lovely, and the location is very convenient. We didn’t have a car so it was close to the arrival point and with walkable distance to restaurants and hiking trails. It is a self service check but the support over the phone speaks good English and was really responsive during our stay.

The evening we arrived there was no warm water in the shower but we asked to have it in the morning and it was there. Breakfast was nice however very basic, just ham/cheese sandwiches & coffee, no hot offerings.

Great location & atmosphere. Staff was very nice and helpful. Just a small challenge that they don’t speak english almost at all :-) room, bathroom are very well designed, clean, there was also a small sparkling wine bottle waiting for us which we appreciated. If you want to feel even more like in fairy tale, make sure your room looks at the back or sides of the building (we got room no 2 which has such a view) as the front view is not that much interesting.

Could hear the other guests next to us. They woke us up one morning just by taking an early morning shower. Also bathroom window does not open so could not air out.

What a great location!. Hana did her very best to make our stay nice and comfortable. Good communication and very helpful. We stayed during a weekend with a lot of snow and really worth visiting during winter time. Close to the town, restaurants and close to the trails.

Our room had a leak above the bed which soaked the mattress during the rain. There were rodents running in the ceiling which was gross in itself, but more disgustingly there was a gap in the ceiling through which all their poos fell, onto the bed, which was already soaked due to the rain. Appalling. Hopefully this gets sorted for future guests.

The property was interesting and quirky.
