How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Was not happy that the duvets did not have covers on them and neither did the pillows for the 2 single beds.

Verified reviewThe accommodation was ok and the location was great.
However, we were disappointed that not all important information was listed on Booking. It was not mentioned that parking costs €20 per day, that there is a €50 per person deposit, or that tourist taxes apply. I believe all of this should be clearly stated in the property information so guests can be fully informed before booking.

Verified reviewWe weren’t told that there were two Royal Court’s one apartments and the other a hotel which caused unnecessary problems as an individual asked a taxi driver for our accommodation and took him to the venue which caused issues.

Dear Timothy, it might not be obvious when you totally drunk as you were, but it's totally 2 different addresses (1 km far from each other), entrances, designs, interiors, doors and etc between of our 2 hotels. It's a pity that you didn't mentioned which issues you cause. And it was not an issue, you tried to break in, attacked, screamed, and shouted at the reception and the guests who lived in this room (in another hotel). It's a pity that you weren't arrested by the police. Hope not to see you again in our hotels again.

Verified reviewVery comfy, quiet and clean apartment with all amenities you will need for your stay. Bed was comfy, however bit low. Residence is located only few minutes from metro (subway) station I.P.Pavlova and is easy to find. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can enjoy tasty breakfast and coffee directly next to the residence in Coffee Factory (10% discount for guests). Our apartment was for very reasonable price regarding distance to city center and connection to public transport. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here.
Owner offers you a parking spot close to the residence, however the entrance to garage is quite narrow (we had Skoda Octavia) so you will probably not be able to use this service with wider car - just to be aware of this.

Dont be fooled by the photos on Bookings - they are old ones!!Booked a Supieror Room which actually dont exist! Hotel claimed we were upgraded but we were acually downgraded from our booking. Had to change the materess on the bed after the first night, bed stuck in an alcove and difficult to get in and out, no comfotable seating which is a problem for 2 weeks, no ovens, no coffe machines as in the photos! We stayed again a week later and were upgraded to a family room which had 2 sofa beds which was a little better than this stay.

Verified reviewVery close to center of the town, good point for starting the sightseeing around the town. Pretty spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen area.
There was no plug for the bathtub, so a bit of engineering was required. Heater in the apartment was placed pretty much next to bedroom, and would often turn on through the night, which was a bit irritating.

Verified reviewthe location is superb very near with the station. the staff is also very helpful and nice. The room is clean. coffee shop is just next to the hotel. Supermarket is just around the corner. Price is reasonable. Staff speaking English fluently.
The utensils for cooking is not complete. There is stairs after elevator to go to your room so it not really handy if you have many heavy luggage. And there is no toilet in reception area so you need to go to coffee shop next door. but i think it's acceptable

Verified reviewThe staff was very nice, accommodating and helped us with some advice for sightseeing. The room was spacious, very clean and had all the basic amenities. The hotel is located within 15 mins walk from the main train station and overall in a central location.
