Nothing to dislike, the shower bath was a little awkward when using the shower, but they usually are with old bathtubs.

The hotel was in an incredible location, an historic building that embodies the beauty of the baroque style with ornate decor and a storied atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and attentive and seemed to really take pride in the place. The breakfast offering was of a high standard and it was nice to have a laid back dinner option at the czech restaurant located in the hotel.

The hotel was amazing and our room was super clean and spacious. We also had a lovely spacious bathroom and plenty of cupboard space. The interior decorations are stunning and the breakfast was delicious, offering a very good selection of food. The location is excellent and walking distance from the town centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a car and it was driven away to a parking place for us. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

-No one explained breakfast when we arrived. We didn't know you could order eggs from a menu till the 4th day. -Our room was at the cheap end and had a marked table, broken coffee machine, flickering light marked rugs and wobbly chandelier. - Staff asked for tips at breakfast when it's self service. Not directly but placing receipts on the table when our breakfast was included anyway, just made us feel a bit uncomfortable having to sign for no reason. Can feel like people are being fake just to get tips and could be that I don't have a much money as others staying there but it just made it feel off some how. -My Mum knocked the large room service tray which smashed a drinking glass, it was never replaced during our stay. We used one glass between two. -Room service I ordered was wrong but I felt a bit awkward after the coffee machine not working so we just had it. -No one explained or showed us round the spa/ explained things even when my Mum had a massage booked.

-Lovely and warm welcome even when we arrived really late. -Amazing location. -Lovely decorations, beautiful chandeliers and design in the hallways. -Staff really helpful/ some genuinely friendly. -Spa lovely and relaxing! Nice smells and design. (Music questionable.. and was terrible when young kids showed up one day!) -Quiet stay.

Staff were okay…gorgeous Italian lady at breakfast service who so friendly….breakfast was excellent but would have been nice to have berries on offer.

We had a suite and it was lovely. Large comfortable rooms and the bed was super comfy, really quiet and amazing chocolate when turn down was done. Breakfast was excellent.

I liked the whole style of the hotel the food was wonderful the staff very polite pleasant and very helpful at all times everywhere inside and out very clean the spa facility was excellent we used the sauna swimming pool and massage second time I've stayed at that hotel second time I've enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward to coming back again next year

I would have liked to have more light in the room.

The Alchymist Grand Hotel is absolutely enchanting — a luxurious gem that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale. Every corner of the hotel is rich with charm and elegance. While our room wasn’t very large and was a bit on the darker side, it more than made up for it with its cozy atmosphere, lovely bath, bidet, and incredibly comfortable bed. The staff were exceptional — warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I especially appreciated how quickly they brought me an extra reading lamp when I asked. A magical stay in a truly unique hotel.

The hotel experience was truly exceptional and quite memorable. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Do not accept room 116 our room was directly above their storeroom and we heard all kinds of noises very early in the morning and late at night. To the point it would awaken me. They could not change our room we were in a Junior suite.

Everything about this hotel is perfect - the location, the decor, the facilities, the staff, the food, everything! Situated below the castle in a quieter area of Prague this was perfect for us. It was a 5 minute walk to a tram stop from which you could access anywhere or only a 15 minute walk to Charles Bridge and beyond to the old historic centre. Having said that, there was also so much to do and see within the vicinity of the hotel. We only scratched the surface. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and were extremely attentive at all times. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and made up each morning while we were having breakfast. Turn down service included complimentary chocolates and fresh water. Breakfast was very good. It's always difficult to get a buffet style breakfast perfect for so many people but they managed better than most. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant on the day of our wedding anniversary and it was outstanding. The hotel also owns an exceptional Italian restaurant 150m away and this too is superb. We used the swimming pool on one occasion and, as with the rest of the hotel, it couldn't be faulted. A 5* hotel with an easy relaxed atmosphere about it. Perfect.

Facilities are outdated, especially the ones in the bathroom. There is no way you can shower comfortably. Dryer is hard to use. Breakfast, as for a 5 star hotel, its freshness and variety are much below average
