Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicBreakfast place is situated in an old cellar, what would normally be interesting (the place is nice), but the lightning should be improved - now it’s maybe good for a night club, for breakfast it’s hard to see what you eat.
Right in the city center in a nicely restored old building.

PortugalThe windows doens t have proper blackouts. The breakfast is very limiteted and served in a kind of a cellar, which could be nice for a dinner, but not adequated for breakfast.
It is a very central hotel, right in the main square. The room was big and the bed quite confortable.

ItalyThe breakfast was quite poor and not a lot of options were available. The room for breakfast is a cellar that could be suitable for a wine tasting or a dinner rather than for breakfast. The sheets covering the mattress had a strange towel- texture. It seems to me that something was missing. Generally they are used only as matress conver under the proper sheet. Cleaning during the stay could be improved. Good valuable for money but it doesn't meet 4 stars standards.

New ZealandBreakfast was in the gloomy, poorly lit (albeit historic), cellar of the building. Some evidence of 'wear and tear' of room fittings eg. bedside light, shower head.
Reasonably new, stylish decor in historic building. A good sized room overlooking the main square. 'Free' street parking immediately outside the hotel.

AustraliaWe were thoroughly disappointed with our stay at this hotel and would rank it among the least satisfactory accommodations we have experienced. Our room, located on the top floor, featured cathedral ceilings that proved inconvenient for taller guests like us, as we frequently bumped our heads. The shower head was positioned uncomfortably low, making it difficult and time-consuming to wash my hair. The television in the room was plagued with persistent crackling noises, rendering it unwatchable. Additionally, we found the staff to be unhelpful and indifferent to our concerns. Although the hotel advertises a wellness centre and massage services, these amenities were not actually available. When we attempted to book a massage, we learned that an external provider needed to be arranged, which was never properly communicated to us by the staff. Despite repeatedly following up, we never received confirmation and ultimately abandoned our efforts. Breakfast was equally disappointing, offering only a very limited selection. Furthermore, our room lacked basic amenities such as an iron and ironing board. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning in the future.
The Hotel is In a Central Location close to restaurants and cafes. The room was quite spacious and the air conditioning was about the only thing we liked about the room we stayed in.

Czech Republicthe room (no 4 ) has no ventilation. there is AC but there is no window, only into the little internal court, more like a chimney but closed at the top by glass roof.. so no way for air to come in or out. Also, in the court there are numerous external AC units, heating it up in the summer. All hotel has very poor ventilation. In the court downstairs (outside but under the roof..) is smoking point and the air comes into the hotel by natural circulation .. and has very limited way to escape. As a result, there is often quite unpleasant smell all over the hotel.

GermanyI was here for a business trip and we went out for Dinner (coming back to the hotel at 10pm). I had forgotten my key card in the room but the reception was closed (with 2 emergency numbers outside). Both didn't work... After 1 hour I asked a colleague If I can sleep in his room... So thanks to him and good luck that I was not alone. Otherwise I even wouldn't have been able to open the main door. Freezing outside... Unbelievable, what If that would have happened when you are here with young children? The next day I went to the reception (opening at 8), nobody was there except a cleaning woman who luckily opened the door for me. Later I at least wanted to have this clarified but the lady at the reception told me that I have must dialed the wrong numbers. So I dialed the number again and her phone rang 😀. She had a long chat with a colleague of hers with the result that she told me that after all it simply was my fault as I have forgotten my card in the room. This even was quite kind of funny. A simple "I'm really sorry" would have made it but I think you can't expect that here. Very poor reception, closely followed by a 1 star breakfast. The room was nice but unbelievable hot. 30-March-2023
