Great stay – simple, clean, and comfortable I had a pleasant stay here. The beds were clean and comfortable, and there was hot water available at all times. Breakfast was in line with Czech standards – simple but satisfying. If you're looking for a 5-star resort with entertainers and 40-inch TVs, this is not the place for you. But if you value a cozy, quiet, and clean place to rest, I highly recommend it. Thank you very much for everything – I truly recommend this place with all my heart!

Food in the accommodations restaurant is rather simple.

Newly renovated, quiet, ideal for starting your hikes directly from the accommodation. Easy check-in, friendly staff, plenty of parking space.

Everything was great! Fantastic location with a wonderful view! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a private bathroom which could be locked. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was delicious!

Like mentioned previously, you can only pay cash when ordering drinks or food. Unfortunately, Google Maps doesn't recognize the place by car and therefore cannot really guide you correctly.Thankfully, the pension is well indicated and easily found.

Good value for money. Breakfast was good and the staff was accommodating when we mentioned that we couldn't take breakfast due to an early start, they offered a take away breakfast. Ideal location for hicking and visiting Prague and Dresden. Great food, whether for lunch or dinner, but keep in mind that you can only pay cash.

The room was a bit tight around the bed, but truly not a big problem. Other than that, there were no complaints.

I cannot say enough about how great the staff was at Penzion u Marešů. The room was a bit tight, but definitely fine. There was a refrigerator in the room and the bathroom was quite large, but a bit outdated. Breakfast was exceptional every day. Several days we were the only people staying at the pension but the breakfasts were always a bit different and excellent. The view from the front of the building was beautiful. We did not upgrade to a room with a view. I think during busier times those rooms might be a bit louder, since there is outdoor seating at the restaurant. Our view wasn't great, but we weren't staying in the room long. Parking was on site and was really great to have that feature. It was low season, so the restaurant wasn't always open, but on one rainy night they were so gracious to allow us to order off of a limited menu for dinner even though the restaurant was closed. I really appreciated that. An entrance to the gorge was just across the street from the pension.

We really loved our stay at Penzion. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Family oriented.The host and staff was super nice and hospitable . Location too was grand with an amazing view. It was a few steps away from the last bus stop which was super convenient to take you to the sight seeing destinations and the main train stations. The place has a restaurant and the food was another plus plus. Best authentic food I've had at any stay so far. Will definitely come again next summer if possible.

Breakfast could use some vegan bread, but it's hard to come by in the area and we didn't request it beforehand. We were treated to many fruits and veggies instead! :)

Amazing location with a stunning mountain view. A relatively short hike to the small boat ride in the Kamenica Gorge (the one that's running as of 2023, the other is temporarily suspended due to the 2022 wildfires). Area surrounding the pension survived the fires untouched. Great beer and cheap and tasty food at the restaurant. Not many vegan options, but wasn't expecting those. Staff speaks Czech, English and German and prepared our potatoes and roasted vegetables in olive oil instead of butter, making them vegan. Good shower and wifi in the room. VERY dog friendly.
