We have a lovely stay at Penzion KOVÁRNA. The information sent for the self check-in was clear and we did not have any problem. We also reserved the parking right at the property which was really convenient for us. Breakfast was really good and has a good variety. The staff was friendly, specially George that help us with everything we need and provide us with some recommendations. It is very well located, a few mins walk to the main attractions. They provided a pack & play/ crib to my daughter and the room was modern and very comfortable. Everything was amazing!

Excellent location, close to the bus station and at the top of the old town, so you don't need to wheel your luggage far on those cobbled streets. Plenty of windows meant the room was light and airy. The whole pension was recently tastefully renovated and everything was very clean. The dining area had curved ceilings and a mural of the old town which reflected the pension's history and gave character. Great place to wind down and enjoy the Old Town.

I stayed here last year and the breakfast was wonderful. Warm scrambled eggs, many pastries, fruits to choose from..etc. At that time I stayed Friday night. This year I stayed Thursday night. It probably wasn’t a busy day so the breakfast wasn’t what I was expecting. The nice man there made us scrambled eggs but rather disappointing otherwise. One sweet pastry that was cut up, slimy sliced lemon (I gave it to him to throw out but he didn’t have another one), a few rolls. Little bowl of cut up apple and an orange.

The only issue was that there was no elevator in the building. It is understandable because it is a heritage building.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the view was gorgeous. The location is excellent that it is very near to the coach station, and private cars can stop outside the hotel (it is just merely outside the historical site which cars are normally forbidden to enter the historical site). The breakfast was very delicious.

We arrived via direct train from prague and left for Salzburg via CK Shuttle. Pro: beautiful rooms, delicious complimentary breakfast, friendly staff, great assigned rooms which is towards the quieter street and not facing front or main road (Room #3), close to the lookout place across from hotel ruze, they let us check in an hour early ~ 1pm since our direct train arrived in CK just past noon. Con: sometimes can hear cars driving through, when other guests come in through the main door of the Penzion later at night, I can hear the door closing from my room on 2nd floor. I would totally book again!

It is quite difficult to climb the stairs with a large and heavy suitcase. The hotel has limited parking spaces.

I stopped here during a road trip round Europe and I think it was best of all the places I stayed (and they were all amazing!). Cesky Krumlov is insanely beautiful, so it’s testament to how great this place is that I wasn’t in a rush every morning to get out an explore. The rooms are beautifully decorated but still incredibly comfortable and practical. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. The person-free check in worked perfectly, and even after a dicey drive through the snow to get there I was immediately able to relax. The location on the edge of the old town is perfect, meaning all the sights are within a short walk, but there’s no noise from crowds. There is limited parking at the hotel but there is loads around the town, and to be honest it’s such a pleasant walk I preferred having to wander back to the car. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, I’d honestly come back to Český Krumlov just to stay here again!

Excellent online communication. Perfect location on the edge of town, well centred for easy access to town & parking nearby on foot. Simple online check in & self access PIN code on arrival day for door and lock box with keys along with paid parking passes (if requested.) Pull up front, drop off bags & park nearby (P5-closest at a lower daily rate. Also, excellent view point of the town and castle during the walk downhill.) Spacious room, well organised with closet, mini bar, bath cabinets and under sink drawer. Extremely clean. Electrical outlet, nightstands & reading lamps on both sides of the bed. Very comfortable firm mattress. Quiet. Blackout curtains. Large shower with abundant hot water & rain shower fixture only. Great breakfast spread. Friendly and helpful staff during manned hours.

We love out stay here! Our room is so nice with modern decor and lovely view of the beautiful little town Cesky Krumlov. Beds and bedding are super clean and comfortable. All furniture and furnishings and appliances are top quality. Apartment 9 fits our family of 4 adults comfortably. Breakfast items are also freshly prepared. Pricing very reasonable. Very satisfied. Highly recommend!

We chose this property based on the strength of the reviews and easy access from the bus station. Departing the bus terminal there is a walkway leading to a stairway of about 40 steps down to the street level. Once down the stairs there is a short level walk to the top of the old town where you will find the pension prominently located at the vertex of two streets. The rooms are new, modern, clean, and comfortable. Huge pillows and generous comforters on the bed. The shower had great water pressure and the hot water very responsive. Breakfast was basic but quite adequate to start your day of exploring Cesky Crumlov.

absolutely nothing

George is excellent in communication and service. We were lucky to have a room upgrade. The location of the hotel is terrific as it is about 5 mins walk to the main bus station and the old town is just a bridge away. Super easy to get around on foot. Plenty restaurants and supermarkets are around the corner. The room is well appointed with top quality linens and comfy bed. Shower room is super clean with everything you need. The breakfast is well served with a variety of choices. Tea and coffee are available for self-service all day around.
