Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThe room and bathroom catered for all my needs. I loved the quaintness of the painted rooms. The Pension was in close proximity to the bus station, restaurants and all the attractions.

SloveniaNothing really, could stay 1 or 2 nights more without any problems.
Location is a bit out of the centre, but just right to have a walk and enjoy in beautiful landscape and architecture of the town. Rooms are cozy and well equiped, parking is fine and breakfast waits for you as a prepaired plate in a breakfast room with a lot of varieties. Coffee machine hot water for the tea...., nice way to start a day. Owners are extremely friendly and whole building is a sort of a special experience so I can say, worth to visit!

HungaryI cannot say anything.
Perfect location, perfect service, enough and delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. This was the second time we stayed here and I still recommend it. The city center is maximum 10mins walk, beautiful area, nice restaurants nearby, so many options to decide how to spend time in this tiny City. Free parking and good wifi connections. The owners are very kind and helpful. We liked to be here again.

United KingdomNothing really. It was a lovely place to stay.
It's a delightful little guest house run by a husband and wife couple. It is a 16th century ancient building with a pretty open courtyard behind the front door/gate and the rooms are situated off that. It is such a delicious "olde worlde" place with not a right angle to be seen! The rooms are amazing. They are decorated with the most stunning murals of beautiful and romantic women and men and each one has a story attached to them. There is a book in the room telling you the story. It's all in Czech, but with the use of Google Translate on the free WiFi, you can easily translate it. The room was large, with a super modern bathroom. The shower was amazing, with a large cubicle and a multiple (hand held, ceiling, body and feet) shower head. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of the centre of Cesky Krumlov, with its restaurants and attractions, although it's a longer walk to the castle, so, if you have a car you can easily drive there. There are several car parks nearby. The hotel has a small area outside reserved for parking for clients. The owners are friendly and always willing to help. The husband speaks reasonably good English, but his wife does not. But nevertheless she's a jolly last and very friendly. Breakfast is in a small dining room off the courtyard. There is the usual cereals fruit, rolls, jams etc, but , unusually the main course of breakfast is already plated up for you when you arrive, and under cling film. It's a typical traditional Czech breakfast of cold meats, cheese, eggs, salads and so on. If we stayed in Cesky Krumlov again, I would be more than happy to stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to you.

GreeceThe toiletries were hardly enough for two people to take a shower after a long trip, which was a constant issue throughout our trip in the Czech Republic.
The hosts were great, smily and very helpful. The breakfast was tasty with some handmade stuff, both savoury and sweet, and everything you might want to drink. The room was beautifully decorated with hand painted walls and the furniture is baroque-looking. Lastly, the location is pretty convenient and if the wather allows, you can walk to all the main attractions of the old town.

Good location for walking to the old town. Good location for morning walks with the dog. Nearby there is a boat rental for sailing on the Weltawa River. Good cold and hot breakfasts. Pet-friendly facility. Nice owners.
