How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI had a great stay at this modern resort, set in a well-maintained neighbourhood with a genuinely friendly atmosphere and gorgeous natural surroundings. The service stood out: everyone I met was warm, helpful, and impressively proactive—any special request was handled immediately and without questions. A highlight for me was breakfast. Even though vegan options weren’t listed, the team happily prepared a tasty hot, purely plant-based meal, which I really appreciated. Small touches like this made me feel truly looked after. Overall, a relaxing, welcoming place with excellent service and a beautiful setting. I’d happily return and recommend it—especially to travellers with dietary preferences who value staff who go the extra mile.

Verified reviewThe hotel is probably the most pleasant I have experienced so far. Lots of little things that annoyed elsewhere work here. The beds don't sag, they have them pulled down and are comfortable. The shower is oversized and such that it can't even leak anywhere. The bathroom has underfloor heating and a hairdryer. Entrance to the hotel garden instead of the loggia on the ground floor. On the whole still reasonable architecture for a small town. Pool and spa in the opposite building included in the price. Pool pleasantly warm, easy to manage booking in advance, from reception and over the phone. Shortcut to pool and parking through back exit. Good and healthy breakfast. Very good quality restaurant.
The maids could pay more attention to the signs that say we WANT the room cleaned/not to be disturbed. Because sometimes we would be in the room and other times we would leave for several hours and still they would not clean the room during that time.

The wellness spa is not private, regardless if you book in for a specific time. And more so, if it is shared - we get that the sauna is preferred to be used naked, but the loungers and jacuzzi? Little too far. Such a tiny space to share with complete strangers. Who are naked. Also we could hear some strange repetitive noise from our room. We thought that it might be the lift, but who knows.
Hello, Annie, thank you for your feedback. Allow me a few lines of commentary, as I was surprised by your low rating. On a side note, I would like to ask - is this a mistake? The average rating you gave us for various aspects of our work comes out to 8.33, but you only gave a final score of 6. If this is an error, could you please change it? I am led to believe that this may just be a typo by the fact that you seemed happy during your stay and when you left, and you also responded positively when asked if everything was OK. We accommodate all kinds of guest requests and try to make everyone's stay comfortable and enjoyable. So, all you had to do was call the front desk with a complaint about noise in the room and colleagues would go there with you to find out the source and possibly suggest a solution. We are not aware of anything regular that disturbs our guests, so it is always a good idea to report it to reception. In the case of the spa, the situation is a little different. We give everyone who goes to the spa a sheet to wrap themselves in. I'm sorry to hear about your experience, the visitor regulations with instructions on how to behave while in the visitor centre are posted in a prominent place for visitors to see. If you are referring to wearing a swimsuit, then the reasons for going to the sauna without one include hygiene and your own health. In the sauna, your skin must be able to breathe freely, so it is a good idea to wear a sheet at most. If you want to be completely alone in the spa, you can book a private spa. We also offer this service, but there is a charge. Guests are advised to book reserved times, primarily for capacity reasons, to ensure maximum comfort and optimal distribution of guests over time. I hope I have set the record straight and you will be able to possibly adjust your review for the better. Anyway, it was an honour and I hope you find your way to us in the future and we prove to you that we deserve a rating with all ten 😊. Wellness area was located in another building across the road . In winter like now you had to dress up to walk there and dress back down to use the facilities then dress up again. You also have to book in advance via reception if you want to use the wellness area.

Verified reviewVery pretty hotel with a nice restaurant. We especially liked that you could walk onto grass right from the room. The room was very big, TV with Netflix was nice in the evening. We enjoyed the spa included in the stay (swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi).
The beds were very narrow. The breakfast very disappointing for a 4* hotel - very basic selection, cheese, ham, 1 type of eggs, cheap cereal, nothing fancy, and from 9ish the foods didn't seem to get replaced when gone.
