Easy check in, clean and cozy rooms, kind staff. We had a hearty breakfast with lots of variety to choose from. Veronika was very helpful and considerate. All in all, great value for money

It is nowadays easy if you can communicate in English but I don't think you can expect that from everybody. The host did her best and in the written communication language was not a issue at all.

Breakfast was great and the host was, although not English speaking, very helpful and generous. We had to switch rooms after one day because of a mistake of the host and she immediately offered a bottle of wine to compensate for any possible inconvenience (we did not use that bottle of wine but the gesture was very nice). I think for a pension with a private host this place is a bargain in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland.

We enjoyed our stay at Penzion Mezi Buky. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a cosy atmosphere that made us feel at home. Breakfast was included and well-prepared. It was super clean, cozy, quiet and comfortable. We had a very good sleep. The staff was lovely and the breakfast great, they even had gluten free bread. I would come back anytime.

Very comfortable and nice hotel. Check in through key box. There was some mould in the bathroom but upon telephone request we were moved to another room and in the morning we saw the staff cleaning the mould in the original room off. Nice and moderately priced wine in the minibar.

Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, very clean and fresh. A lot of possible outings nearby. The breakfast was amazing and the staff wonderful. We will definitely be back.

They've been offering dinner for some days now and got some menus wrong. However the option is something positive and it'll become better with time. The only real negative thing was about the bathroom. The drain didn't work and was somehow plugged.

The location of the pension is very close to the national park and some hiking trails and restaurants are nearby. The breakfast is appropriate regarding the price. Our room was on the forest site (not to the street) and it was very calm. The whole arrangement with Victoria and the staff was easy and helpful.

We were on a bike trip and only looking for a small, nice place with breakfast and a charging possibility for the bikes. And this hostel was so much more. Great service and ready for every little need. Breakfast was great too. Thanks so much for this stay at the right time and place!

Thanks to this Penzion we had great time! Clean and very comfortable rooms, avaliable sauna and location where you can really relax. Great breakfast with variety of delicious food. Very welcoming and helpful owners. Im sure we will come back there some day :)

The hotel is right at road where cars unfortunately drive quite fast, it can become noisy and might be a bit dangerous when crossing, however there is space behind the hotel to spend time (incl. small pool, small playground and a terrace to hang out), so no need to worry too much.

Very nicely furbished hotel, family-friendly atmosphere and carefully thought-through amenities. Very good value for the price. The owners and the staff go beyond for the guests to enjoy the stay.

The mattress wasn't very comfy. The blankets were quite thick for the hot weather (we stayed in a room without an AC).

The room was large and homey. The check in was easy. Breakfast was generous and had a large selection. Incredible value for money!

I thought I paid through booking.com at the time of reservation. When I asked if all was good on check-out, I was told that the accounts were "probably settled"... Sometime during the next days I got an SMS alert that I have NOT paid for my stay and I received an email request to do so. I asked them to charge my card registered with booking.com under which the reservation was processed. Response tried to explain that this was not possible and instead I got an email with attached pdf invoice for CZK1,000 with a QR code that did not work on my Canadian phone without any specific Czech banking apps installed. At that time I have been traveling around in Šumava in the middle of nowhere with no banks around. When I finally arrived in Prague and went to a large bank, I was told that they cannot help me, and that the invoice will only be payable from Fiobank. Had to find Fiobank to pay the bill and they charged an extra fee for that. Not a big deal and I wanted to make sure that the accounts were settled, but it turned out to be a major hassle that took me several hours which I would prefer spending in a different way. Another problem was that in the morning at 7am, all power turned OFF and consequently the water went off as well.. I was VERY lucky to have woken up at 6 and have had my shower earlier, before the outage. When I asked at the breakfast, the receptionist stated that it was a scheduled outage. WHY DID THEY NOT TELL THEIR GUESTS if they knew this was imminent is beyond me.

The room was comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The price was excellent. A bit off (30 mins) from Hřensko / Pravčická Brána trail parking lot but it allowed me to drive through Jetřichovice u Děčína and get to know the beautiful nature and picturesque villages.

The place smelled strongly of room freshener spray, which we didn't like. We had to air the room for quite wile to get the smell out.

Nice matress, nice Sauna that you can book for yourself and use privately. Nice supplies in the room, like lotion, hygiene products etc. We felt very at home after just a few nights. Good location!
