The location is not in the city centre and that's no problem, unless you are with your bike. That means you have to cycle up again for 2km (up hill) to get to the center

The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. It was nice that i could store my bike somewhere inside.

Many things could be better, but it is really good enough.

It is a panelak hotel on the edge of Melnik. Big bar area with food. Nicer inside than you would expect from the outside.

You cannot criticise the hotel for not letting you in advance how the Economy room would be like. I was really ok with it. I just want to point out that if you are not a fan of dated and basic facilities, the Economy room is not for you.

I like to think that I am fair to point out a few pluses: - If you are going on a budget and just need a bed, the Economy room is a deal to go for. - Kudos to the hotel for being upfront and email to describe how the Economy room would be like and suggested an upgrade. - Kudos to the young lady at the reception for offering an upgrade and she suggested that I check the room first and decide on it. I do suggest people to take the upgrade but I was happy to take the deal instead. - Liked the fact that I could use the pantry with microwave and kettle. - The bathroom was more spacious than I thought

If you don‘t like to stay in a 1970‘s Time Capsule stay away. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment, and the beds are quite worn.

If you like to stay in a 1970‘s Time Capsule, you need to go here. You get the real atmosphere from 45 years ago, for a very reasonable price. The shower is hot and pleasant, the area quiet, and the breakfast is good. So actually our stay here was pretty OK.

The first room we got had a faulty jacuzzi. It turned on by itself and scared us half to death and then in a few moments the same happened to the hair dryer. Apparently the room was just haunted :) But the hotel staff gave us another room which was fine.

The beds were good, nice TV in the room with YouTube & Apple TV. Really nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful English-speaking receptionist. The hotel had a room to store our bikes.

Rooms are small, some amenities are not working, guy in the counter denying that, that ancient phone they have in the room is not working. No tables in the room which is difficult if want to do some work.

Rooms are not cleaned everyday and maintenance is very poor (broken shower holder, plugged drains) and furniture is very old and not well taken care of.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who accommodated us in all our requests. I was accommodated in an economy room, which was a little older but otherwise well cleaned and clean. We will definitely come back again
