FinlandLocation, horizontal. It takes a bit of climb (and searching at first) to get there. Especially on a hot day one is easily drenched in sweat after the climb. You don't easily just drop in to pick up an umbrella or whatever.
Location, vertical. It's in the heart of the old spa town. In Karlovy Vary there are many hotels claiming four stars but parely worth three. Morava is three stars and fills those boots easily. For example breakfast is as good or better than in most faux four star palces. It's a beautiful, friendly and functionable.

It is very convenient for the festival as it is in between both locations (Pupp/Císařské lázně and Thermal). The street is calm and the view is beautiful.

AustriaThe sauna was switched off and only available upon additional payment of 8 euro per hour. Also the receptionist mentioned that if we want to go to the sauna, we need to pay and let them know minimum one hour in advance so they turn it on for us. Breakfast was rather simple but tasty and the waiter was very nice and helpful.
The property has very good location, only a short walk to the main walking street. The rooms on the upper floors have great view of the whole city.

Czech RepublicThe staff mixed up our reservation with another person's of similar name who booked a higher class room but we never got our cash difference back despite assurances to the contrary. Also the pool is not always accessible, only upon reservation, the staff claims it is Booking.com's mistake that it isn't mentioned in the description. Anyway, these two things put us off a lot and we shan't return to this accomodation.

Czech RepublicFirst night reception messed up and sent other people to our room with the spare room key. Everyone was confused because they did a check in and got keys and so did we but several hours before them. We didn't really feel safe after that. Reception guy did apologize and gave us a bottle of wine as an apology but that doesn't mean it's not worth mention.

United StatesI chose this hotel because it has a swimming pool. However, it was quite difficult to hit. The pool is open according to the schedule and pretty busy, closes at 7pm in the evening. They charge Euro 8 for an hour but don’t give you a towel for the pool and towels change in the room only after 3 days, which is very surprising!!! Housekeepers are assertively arrogant.
Front desk ladies very nice and friendly, helping with your needs. Breakfast was good, home making food.
