Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandLots of nature and extremely beautiful view. Remote location. Room was spacious and the garden was beautiful. We couldn't speak any German or Czech so it was hard to speak with the staff, but they were very friendly and helpful anyway.

Breakfast was very good. Location for my needs was perfect. Parking was free & convenient--next to hotel. Quiet hotel room facing forest above hotel.

Isle of ManGood breakfast, the location was fabulous, beautiful views from the balcony. The rooms were large and spacious and the food at dinner fantastic. Played charades a bit as we didn’t speak Czech or German ( our fault) but one of the guests came to our rescue and it all added to the experience .

Beautiful place, tucked near a little river and surrounded by trees. Very nice view from the room to the hills and forest. Restaurant had a nice offer of local dishes, everything was very tasty. Great base to explore the beauty of Šumava national park.

Czech Republic- The place is swarmed by wasps. The hotel does very little about it. Outside, you can see one or two pet bottles with liquid to attract them, but it's definitely not enough. This completely spoils the outside eating experience. - Breakfast is total catastrophe. The food is served in batches, probably suitable for 2-3 families, while there are at least +10 families at a time. When the eggs are served, people rush to them, and they disappear instantly. Once, my wife was waiting 10 minutes for the scrambled eggs to refill, just to find out that they were not to be refilled again. This was around 8h45. Breakfast is advertised from 7h30-10h. Besides that, service in the morning is understaffed. One lady serving all tables coffee, refilling the food, and acting as a receptionist for those who want to check out. - During the weekend, the situation worsened. The pension is completely overcrowded, and parking is awkward and without coordination. - With a few exceptions, the restaurant staff seemed very inexperienced.
- Location, nature. - Balcony with amazing view. - Some of the staff were friendly and pleasant (cleaning lady, breakfast/reception lady). - Fridge in the room. - Nice and big outside seating area. - Fast WiFi with good coverage.

Czech RepublicThe hotel was very busy on our arrival, and finding a parking space was slightly awkward; some guests even just parked on the grass. The welcome was friendly enough, but service became less friendly as the stay went on. We were told to wait 30 minutes before ordering lunch as the restaurant was so busy (on our arrival at around 2 p.m.). The lunch menu had one choice of soup, four mains, and only one dessert, and the dinner menu was exactly the same, so a lot of variety there wasn't. We were also told to pay for lunch later on as there was such a huge queue to pay (payment only being possible at the bar and preferably by card, not in cash). The meal served at dinner was smaller than that served at lunch, and the price of meals was overpriced. Although the restaurant is supposed to be open till 9 p.m., we were surprised to receive a phone-call to our room at 7 p.m., asking us if we'd be going down to dinner or not. As much as I like animals, I am allergic to cats, and a cat wandering around the restaurant - and even into the kitchen - was not particularly pleasant or hygienic. No one explained any seating system to us, so we were surprised to be told to move to another table at dinner by a not-particularly-friendly waiter. As for breakfast, there was no bacon or sausages left, and no one replaced them. Although the location is quiet, we could hear other guests in their rooms; the tap, tap, tap of someone's razor on the sink upstairs also travelled down as I was in the bathroom. The shower was okay, but the pipes must be leaking as the wall behind it (around the skirting boards) in the hall was significantly wet after use. The double bed was two beds pushed together, and as the mattresses were rather hard, we woke up with some aches. We were grateful for a kettle in the room, but the tea cups were tiny, more suitable for a shot than an enjoyable cup of tea.
At first glance, the hotel looks charming, and the setting is pretty. Welcome initially friendly, albeit a bit full-on. The bedroom area looked nice enough for such a 'vintage' establishment, and there was a spacious balcony with a fine view. Lunch was large and quite tasty.
