During the night there was this unpleasant sound which woke me up a couple of times, but I still managed to have a good sleep. It was not critical.

It was very cozy, clean. The beds were comfortable. I felt safe.

The room was poorly cleaned. There was mud on the toilet floor (I hope it was mud!), the toilet bowl was dirty. There was a strange odor in the bathroom (probably a drain issue). The shower hose was damaged. The bedding on the bed was also a little bit dirty. The room door was twisted, making it difficult to open, and light from the corridor leaked into the room through the gaps.

Location with good access to the tram (5 minutes) and metro line B (10 minutes). The property is quiet at night, ensuring an undisturbed sleep.

I recommend Hotelové Pokoje Kolčavka for an affordable short stay, if you're looking for a base not too far from the center. It's about a 15 min taxi ride (around 7 GBP in an Uber) from central Prague. A little far to walk if the weather is very hot (as it was when I was there), but I feel the location is reflected in the price. I stayed in a twin en-suite room - it was basic but very clean and equipped with the essentials such as a hairdryer, fridge, towels, clothes hangers etc. The bed was VERY comfortable (slept better than I have in quite a while!), and the shower was great (powerful with good temperature control). It was also very quiet overall, which was great compared with inner city hotels I've stayed in the past, and being a lone female traveler I felt safe. Whilst there was no air con (which I was aware of from the website), the room was remarkably comfortable temperature wise (it was 32 degree heat most days) which I think was down to a combination of the stone walls and the direction of the room in relation to the sun. The staff member I liased with (Eva) ahead of arrival was super helpful and friendly (and spoke good English which I was grateful for) - my flight was delayed and I arrived late around 11pm but she was available on the phone straight away to help me with checking in. I didn't eat at the property so can't comment on the food but there was a good atmosphere. There didn't appear to be a huge amount to do/go close by in terms of restaurants etc but I didn't spend much time in the immediate area, so may have missed some things (the purpose of my stay was to explore central Prague). There was a supermarket around 10 min walk away though which was useful. All in all, I feel the accommodation is value for money, as advertised, and is a great base of you're looking to spend your time in the city centre (as long as you don't mind either a bit of a walk or a short cab ride to reach the centre).

No person available, just over the phone. Room super small, all other rooms tight in one small area, bad noise isolation from other rooms, could hear everybody at night, could not fall asleep early. Outside the window storage of trash. Entrance to pokoje like to the storage area, room look old, need renovation. Room that small so it was not possible to leave even bigger luggage on the floor in a comfortable way. No hangers in the super small wardrobe. No fridge available. The only positive is that the person who was available over the phone next day bring hangers and fridge but next day I was already leaving and was happy about leaving this place

This doesn't look like a hotel. The entrance looks like a street where you don't want to get lost. We expected much more.

The room was decent. The lady who welcomed us was nice.

It wasn’t very clean, seemed like the sheets weren’t even changed. The staff took photos of my personal ID at the check in. Nobody was available for me to check out in the morning (though I was complying with the time set by the property), everything was closed, and there was no sign/informations about what to do.
