How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGood location.
My belongings disappeared from my non-lockable ‘private’ but separate bathroom during the day. The bathroom had been cleaned (the end of the toilet paper was refolded) so I suspect the cleaner just threw away the items. The items included a tube of ointment I need for medical reasons. So don’t leave anything in these separate bathrooms. It may be an idea for bathroom detritus to be stored for a day so mistakes can be rectified.

Verified reviewRoom was spacious and close to the bicycle trail. Very clean kitchen and washrooms. Bonus, bicycle room!
The mattresses were a bit too hard for me.

Verified reviewThe property is very clean and very conveniently close to the railway station.
You should be aware that: - this is a hostel, not a hotel, as it is indicated on Booking.com. - the reception is located in a building (A) five minutes walk away from the building where the bedrooms are located (B), with the latter being the address given on Booking.com - if you arrive at Building B ten minutes before the advertised closing time for reception, see the sign about the two different buildings indicating that you can gain access to B building via online check-in, spend a few minutes checking in online in the hope of receiving an access code or some further instructions and then, when you don't, use the telephone number given by Booking.com to ring the venue and ask them to please confirm to reception that you are on your way to Building A to check in in person, you may be treated with extreme rudeness by the person on the other end of the line - you may receive a room with NO WINDOW, although this is nowhere indicated on Booking.com (I was not using the app, don't know if the information there is more specific than on the website itself) - you may receive a room in which the thermostat for the radiator is inaccessible under a deep shelf, so that you cannot control the heating in your room - you may have to sleep on a very hard and uncomfortable mattress
It is unfortunate that you were not satisfied with our stay, however, the fact that your room was without a window is already stated in the name of this room, so that this fact cannot be overlooked and everyone knows which room they are booking. The fact that the room does not have a window is also evident in our photo gallery of this room. The information that you have to check in in building B was also sent to you in a message on Booking.com. You were invited to complete the online check-in form twice by email and one day before your arrival by text message, but you did not respond to anything in time. You called exactly one minute before the end of working hours, saying that you were at the other building and wanted to check in immediately. I explained to you that check-in takes place in building B, as was sent to you in the message, and you constantly demanded accommodation in building A. I would like to point out that the accommodation of guests is associated with certain administration, which the receptionist must perform even if she has fixed working hours until 8:00 PM and commutes by bus from another city to which she is bound. Yes, June is the month. when the heating season is over and we no longer heat the rooms. Due to the hot days, the building is heated. It would probably be nice if you didn't think only about yourself and your comfort and read the messages in time that tell you our working hours, the place where you can check in, and also thought about the employees who would like to go home on time.

There was no way of entering the hotel. We were 20 minutes late because of traffic problems. The phone number, which was given was a private number of a lady, who was just on holidays in Italy. Whe had to pay a late registration fee in order to get an electronic key, what we did, but we did not get the key. The hotel says, that they did not get this payment, for which I have got the proof. We were three old people, me almost 80. We were extremely lucky to find people, who gave us shelter. I Hope to get our money back, I really cannot recomend this hotel.
I am very sorry for the way you presented your problems with our hotel. You arrived at the accommodation after reception opening hours, and you did not even contact us to say that you would be late. The receptionist really has no idea whether you will arrive half an hour later, or two hours later, or not at all. It is polite to call and inform the reception about this fact, given your age, which you keep arguing about, I would have expected it. You called after opening hours and yes, I was outside the Republic, the lady arrogantly, without apology, demanded accommodation, but there was no one at the reception. So I arranged for a receptionist to come to the reception and prepare the keys, which would be issued to you after paying the 12 Euro fee for late check-in. Unfortunately, the money did not arrive in the account until 4 days later. I am sorry, but this entire unpleasant situation arose solely through your fault.

Verified reviewExcellent location, just few meters away from the main Train Station Spacious room Kitchin (no need though)
There's no reception and the official reception is about 200 m from the hostel It's not a hostel but a "aparthotel" to live there for some months: there's kitchen in all rooms. Bathroom/Toilet very small Tiny towels (too small ones and few) Lack of AC (33 degrees outside) Lack of fan
Thank you for the nice rating, however we are really a hostel, not a hotel. For this reason, we only put small towels in the room, we assume that guests have their own, and guests usually only come to us for 1-2 nights. A kitchenette is not in every room, only in 4 of our most equipped rooms. Air conditioning in our latitude is not a standard yes in hotels. Alice Štěbetáková

Store personal data in Google pages - it's a sux. No RODO compliance. Small towels. They have a frying pan, but the kitchen stove doesn't accept it. Room is pretty wet. And not clean.

Verified reviewRoom was much better than i expected. Comfortable beds and quiet room. Hostel responded very fast and helped us with with more information about attraction sites. Also they give us free public transport tickets and it was easy to reach this attraction sites with bus wich was going from in front of the hostel. We are very sattysfy and we would deffinetly book again :) P.S. City is very clean and organised.
Hostel should make better photos because the room was much better that is seen in the photos.
