Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandBeautiful old house, located on one of the most charming streets in Krumlov, in the middle of the historical centre. You can enjoy your morning coffee by Veltava river, looking at the castle. The room is spacious and comfortable.

HungaryThough my room was comfortable, it was a bit dark, owing to the architecture at the time the house was built. The guest house is a charming, old house, very near the main square. I believe there are only 4-5 rooms. It was really very cozy.
Breakfast is an additional option/charge. However, it was very complete and very tasty. And as a bonus, I sat outside in the patio, which looked out on to the river. Very picturesque! The manager, Olga, was extremely accommodating and helpful. I regrettably arrived late, and had to leave relatively early the next day. Ceský Krumlov merits a visit of several days.

New ZealandThe wifi was a bit flaky. It worked well out in the garden but not so good inside my room - maybe the walls were too thick>
This room was on the ground floor, beside the kitchen area and easy access to the outside seating by the river. The location was very convenient. It was down a side street away from the crowds but still right in the middle of the old town. I liked the fact that the kitchen was available for guests to make tea, coffee etc.

Guest House Olsakovsky is centrally located, charming and well-appointed. Although there is no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms, there is a kitchenette available to all. There is a small back garden facing the river which is a quiet, calm spot to relax.

United StatesThere was really nothing we didn't like about our stay at this place. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cesky Krumlov.
This is a cozy, comfortable penzionek (guest house) located right in the old town but on a very quiet street. We booked the Double Room with Garden View, which we highly recommend. The bed and room were comfortable and clean. It was not very large, but there was plenty of room for two of us, and the shower was larger than expected with plenty of hot water. The sink and mirror is in the room itself, which was convenient when getting ready in the morning. The wifi was good in the room. The guest house is right on the river, with a wonderful, relaxing garden facing the river and castle where we could sit in the morning having our coffee and to relax at the end of the day. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights within walking distance. The taxi was able to bring us directly to the house from the train station, which was good given the cobblestoned streets. There are many, many restaurants and shops within 5 to 7 minute walks, including a vegetarian restaurant--Laiban--that is two minutes away right on the same street (although note that they only take cash--no credit cards). The price was reasonable given the location, and the woman who staffed the guest house in the morning was very helpful on several occasions for us, like giving us some milk for our coffee. There is a cozy breakfast room where you can get a meal for around 10 Euro, but there is also a small communal kitchen where you can make coffee and where we self-catered our own breakfast.

AustraliaNothing. It was perfect
This truly was an absolute gem. A beautiful old pension built in 1653 with low ceilings and beams and a quaint garden by the river. It is located a very short walk from the main square so really in the heart of town. We had the attic room which was larger than it sounds with a good sized bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Parking was a bonus for us as we were driving. At only 10eurs it was a real bonus.

Austriaeverything was perfect!
This place is fantastic if you arrive by bicycle - safe storage, amazing friendly and welcoming owner, great room, amazing small garden at the river where we could chill and watch the fantastic city view. We were so happy we could store our bikes cos there are NO public bike stands in the whole old town. Small kitchinette and complimentary tea and coffee were fantastic too. The street is charming and very quiet. This was my 3rd time in Cesky Krumlov and by far the best accommodation. We definitely come and stay again!

United StatesLike all hotels near the center, it is a little far away from the bus station especially with the pebble street roads which is very painful for people who have luggage.
Location is perfect, near all attractions. The backyard is right on the river bank and there are tables and chairs for a relaxing and peaceful moment.

Germany-
It's a very beautiful house in bohemian traditional architecture situated right on the banks of the river in the center of the old town. You can have breakfast outside on the terrace or inside in a small cosy breakfast room. Breakfast is yummy and a lot. There is a small kitchen to prepare a quick coffee to enjoy in a sunchair at the river. The room was good, the bed big. When you rise your head you can see the river from the bed. The staff is very nice and helpful and works with dedication.
