Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

GreeceWe stayed in a triple toom on the 3rd floor (301) and it was spacious and very quiet.Everything was clean and the beds very comfortable..Breakfast was really tasty! Location is ideal ,near metro station,tram ,within walking distance from the museum and the city centre! There s even a small market at the corner to buy water,snacks at reasonable prices..3 fast food restaurants are located near the metro exit.. The owners of the hotel were amazing!Really welcoming and available to assist us and gave us useful information....I highly recommend Alton Hotel..

We had a wonderful stay at Alton. It's a charming little hotel small but comfortable. The room was clean, simple but cozy. The bed and pillows very comfortable. It's located on the busy street so sleeping with windows open was not an option for us but the air conditioning worked very well so we had good nights sleep. The breakfast was diverse and included fresh fruits and vegetables every day. The tram station and metro is right around the corner so it was very easy to reach city center and other parts of the city. Altogether our stay was very much enjoyable. And both receptionists were very welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasure to stay at Alton.

SlovakiaHandy spot close to the public transport has its toll, there was a noise from the street, we could constantly hear ambulances, it was hard to fall asleep, especially for our 2-year-old. It's hard to park around the hotel, but that comes with the location, so we counted on that. I think the carpet in the room could use a proper steam cleaning, even though it was hoovered every day, our socks were really dirty after walking around the room, and it had a strange smell - like someone once might have spilled something on it.
The owners are really nice, and the hotel is in a handy spot, close to public transport. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds were comfy, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of sweet and sour choices. The hotel has a nice lobby where we could sit in the evening, when our 2-year-old son fell asleep, there was comforting music, and overall good idea. Our room key didn't work when we got into the hotel, but it was solved within 15 minutes, so that was nice as well.
