Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe find it spacious and airy. The bedroom s have good storage and the beds are comfortable and wide .The kitchen has good facilities, plenty of plates and cutlery, A spacious terrace, with good furniture for outside dining, a good situation for a peaceful and restful holiday.. being within Paphos gardens it has two swimming pools very close by, The hotel pool has large steps for easy access and plenty of sun beds. There are many restaurants close by and Paphos harbour is around 20 minutes along the sea path, with many lively restaurants and bars.A nice place to come back to after a hot day exploring for a quiet evening. We have a wheelchair and find it easy to get into and get around as Les has mobility issues

IsraelTho owner allowed an early check-in and were responsive when I contacted you. Regarding the apartment size – there is no way that this apartment is 1,022 sq ft. It is probably ~700 sq. Ft. However, the stay at your place was a real nightmare for me and my family. The apartment was stifling, with very bad odors and a poor level of cleanliness. When I arrived, there was a pungent and unbearable smell. She did send the cleaning staff, but when they claimed they couldn’t smell anything and simply sprayed some cleaning products on the toilet (is that what you call cleaning?), I realized what I was dealing with. If they had claimed that this smell was the latest LV or Chanel perfume, we could have had a serious discussion about it. However, when they denied the existence of any odor, I decided not to argue with them and waste my energy. Instead, I put on cleaning gloves and spent 20-30 minutes cleaning the bathroom myself. The smell improved slightly after that. Regarding the cleaning – in many areas of the apartment, we noticed cobwebs. When I inspected the place before leaving, I looked under the beds... It's hard to tell how old the dust is or what else I found under there (I can send you some pictures via WhatsApp). Another issue – you installed an AC thermostat in the room with the queen bed that only runs for 2 hours. I understand that they want to save on energy costs, but some common sense should be applied here. A 6-hour timer for the bedrooms (like the one in the other room) would be much more appropriate. With a 2-hour thermostat, I had to wake up sweating every night at least twice

SerbiaI didn't like staying in the apartment. we accidentally locked ourselves outside of the house (doors close automatically). the manager would help us only for 40eur and said us to wait outside for 2h. It was unacceptable due to cold weather outside so he called a key smith so we had to pay 60 euros to have the door opened. It's a pity that the administration refused to let us use their spare keys. It was very cold in the house. We were able to warm the house using air conditioners only on the third day. At the same time, we were very cold due to the cold floors throughout our stay. We moved into a dirty and dusty apartment with spider webs everywhere. I had to buy dust cloths. I washed the floors so I could stay there. Kevin, the manager was extremely rude. He shouted at me over the phone, was interrupting And arrived unannounced in the morning at our door and woke me up Didn’t say “sorry” once. Only “leave a comment on booking if you don’t like something”
Pros: quiet area, large kitchen, very good internet

PolandThe apartment is full of mold, dirty and in a state of disrepair. The first thing you notice upon entering is overwhelming smell of the mold and artificial air fresheners fighting it. There are two automated sprays installed, then chemical freshener in a box in one of the rooms and a loud air dehumidifier in another. Yes, it is that bad. We are genuinely sorry for the people that will be forced to use the room with dehumidifier, it smelled so bad we kept door to it closed at all times. The bathroom was also full of mold, with the toilet leaking water and shower with almost no pressure forcing you to stay very close to the wall with mold. The apartment is equipped with a rather big but old TV with a couple of local channels. You can't chromecast to it nor watch YouTube, which renders it rather useless for guests that doesn't speek Greek. The wardrobe in a room is also full of mold, better not put your clothes here. Kitchen, same story, we recommend guests to wash anything before you use it.
The bed was comfortable. There is an option to leave luggage in the luggage room at the reception desk after check out. Internet was fast.
