How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is in a district which does not inspire confidence. As it was the first time we came to Praia, it was difficult to imagine how the district is. It's definitely important to have a car if you come here. The WiFi signal is very weak in the ground floor flat. A bit sad that the little bar next to the swimming pool was not open.
The place is very clean. The ground floor flat is big. Air Conditioning is efficient. The swimming pool is nice and clean (however the furniture - chairs - is getting a bit old). It's secure with personnel around 24/24hrs.

There was no food as advertised which was a let down. The area is quite distant from town so you do need a vehicle to get around effectively. Most people do not speak English so you do need google translate for assistance.
The accomodations were lovely. They were roomy and the pool was very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances to utilize which was great. There was access to wifi and that was very dependable.

Issues with wifi at night. Far from restaurants and most things
2nd stay there, only 1 night. Rooms were clean, place was very quiet and calm. Had the pool to ourselves; water was warm (regular water not salt).

Though area is quiet, it is far from anything (restaurants/beach/stores) and very secluded. I would suggest staying there only if you have a car or a trusted taxi driver you can call. I only saw taxi there dropping someone off; it’s a short walk to main road but not sure id be comfortable standing main road at night hailing a cab. We had issues with showers; water stayed hot only few seconds and shower head fell off wall hitting me one night. Thankfully only hit my arm and had a small bruise. On last night of stay i had issues with wifi but was late so I didn’t contact mgt.
Room was spacious and clean; pool was very nice! Very quiet area, away from the city noise. Felt very safe.

Mattresses are so uncomfortable.
Staff, especially gate staff extremely helpful and pleasant nothing was too much. Nice pool cleaned daily.

The location is not the best, as is outskirts of town. Which is not great. But there is taxi easily accessible, so no big issue.
I enjoyed apartment a lot, very clean and comfortable. The service wa lovely, very helpful. The gentleman did not speak much English but we manage to communicate and translate.

it felt like home, the workers and even the owner were simply amazing! they they are pet frendly.. lots of dogs stay there and we have company all the time!

We had no problem with it as we were looking for a quiet place but it is a bit outside Praia so you need to call taxi or have rent a car. There is a list of taxis available.
The staff is really super. They try all they can to make your stay perfect. On our first day, they organized breakfast even if we were way too late. They had pick up at airport organized. They gave us super advices for taxi, food delivery. and the pool was just great and clean!!! Excellent stay for us.

A bit far from main road and not in city center. Hard to find a taxi if the reception is off work especially at night. Good to stay here if renting a car. During our stay the breakfast is not included in the room rate so we order each morning. There is no menu and we need to order dish by dish. It will be nice if there is an English menu of all breakfast items and prices. The hot water boiler has not been used for a while so the water was orange color at the beginning, but after running a while it is totally fine.
Nice and new residence. The two-bedroom full apartment is 72 sqm, very spacious and modern decorated! There is a swimming pool near the breakfast venue. Staff is super nice and kind. Even he does not speak much English but there is no problem to communicate by using Google translation. He can book taxi and tell us the normal rate. He is also very flexible for us for the check-out time. Breakfast is good.
