This is now our #1 favorite hotel! The attention we received was simply the best, it truly made the difference. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and professional. The food was another highlight: whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was exceptional. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Villa Callas for 1 night. Everything was perfect including fabulous location and facility. Room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Also it was very helpful to have a good restaurant for our breakfast and dinner.

Although there is an open fire, it was difficult to keep this going all evening, so the room was quite cold. There was a separate heater but this was small and not very powerful

Lovely rooms with open fire and bedroom on a separate level. The views from the balcony were great. The restaurant was the highlight - the food was delicious. Lovely 5k walk directly from the back of the hotel. Good location for visiting Poas volcano.

There was a big step down to the sitting area, close to the bed that was easy to fall off of. Also the fireplace was difficult to light. Couldn't get a fire going. The shower was good but the door needed a wedge to keep it closed and sometimes had to wait for hot water.

Loved the staff, the restaurant, the grounds, location. The food was very good. The staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable as well as the blankets etc. TV worked fine and we were able to watch the Super Bowl no problem. The price was perfect for what you get and really the restaurant and staff and bed are well worth it. The grounds are extensive, hiking on the grounds beautiful. The price is right!

The only downside was the fireplace experience. The wood provided was surprisingly difficult to light, and once it finally caught fire, it didn't last as long as I had hoped. A better selection of firewood would have made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, if you're seeking a place to disconnect, relax, and indulge in great food, this is definitely worth a visit.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the chaos of everyday life, this place is a hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, it offers the perfect setting for slowing down, unwinding, and reconnecting with nature—or with a loved one. What I loved the most was the tranquil and serene environment, making it ideal for a romantic getaway. The cuisine was another highlight—every dish was delicious, but I especially recommend the roasted tomato soup. It was the perfect comfort food for a chilly night in the mountains.

This felt like a very special place. Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

It's a surprising gem of a place. Lots of detail attended to at every level. The staff go above and beyond, the basic amenities are top notch and thoughtful, the relativistic stuff as well-- by which I mean, Internet on a mountain in Costa Rica with variable weather can only be so consistent, but their setup, approach, and communication make it it the maximum quality possible. The food is second to none, and the dining area is cozy, and there is a kids playground right outside with peacocks and peahens roaming the well manicured grounds. We mean to stay there again, for longer, on our next trip to that area.

We were in a rainy days. There was quite cold. The woods and matches for the fireplace were wet and there wasn/t hot water.

Villas are nice located. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.

The bed was a little on the hard side for our liking but everyone is different.

The staff are as welcoming as the beautiful property. The restaurant was excellent and the provided breakfast was terrific. It's conveniently located for a visit to Poas and La Paz Waterfall. There are several trails to walk on the dairy farm if the weather is agreeable.

Bed was a little firm for our taste.

Wonderful wonderful 1 night stay for our family with a toddler! Cute accommodations, beautiful grounds and peacocks. The food at the restaurant was some of the best local food we had in all of Costa Rica. Close to Poas Volcano. Don’t hesitate staying here.
