The views are absolutely stunning, such a peaceful place. I saw hummingbirds and agoutis just from the terrace area. I had no creepy crawlies in my room despite all the warnings! Glory on reception at Rainbow Valley goes above and beyond to help make your trip one to remember. The wine and grill restaurant is really convenient given how far from the town you are, and they do a really good steak!

There is little to complain about, just suggestions. Missed a safe somehow but did not feel unsafe in general.

Amazing views and spacious accommodation. A whole apartment on two floors with huge bathrooms, one even with a jacuzzi. Unbeatable value for money. Gloriana who checked us in is a treasure. Thank you for the many valuable tips and hints about the property, restaurants and tours. Restaurant Tropico close by is a very good, Italian restaurant and really to recommend.

We enjoyed our visit. It had a nice kitchen,living room and a large deck to sit in. The pool was very handy and the ten minute walk to the beach was not bad. We thought it was a great option for anyone who had an early flight out of the nearby airport.

It is a on the edge of a rain forest so be prepared for insects.

Great location set back on a hill from dirt road outside of town of Santa Elena. Outstanding view of Nicoya peninsula across the bay. Nice apartment and open stone shower (inside). Gas powered countertop stove which we didn't use. Excellent restaurant at Hotel Tropica 1 block away. Fairly long (1 mile) walk uphill into town.

The showers, mirrors and stairs were somewhat unusual, but certainly functional. A few minor maintenance issues to be addressed but overall no complaints.

Great location with beautiful views. The weather was not cooperative during our stay but undoubtedly the sunsets under better conditions would be amazing. The area was fairly secluded but close enough to town for easy access. We stayed in the two story room which very large, with a great upstairs balcony and also inside swinging chairs for enjoying the west facing views of Nicoya peninsula. The nearby Italian restaurant was quite nice, with good food. The offsite check-in staff was most helpful and also took care of laundry for a reasonable cost.

While we were there it did get quite hot, especially since the housekeeper left the curtains open all day. The front facade is entirely made up of windows so leaving the curtains open caused the room to be very hot. The shower water pressure was a bit low and the hot water never got truly hot.

Very peaceful location with excellent views of the hills and the ocean. It was more on the outskirts of town which was nice. The room was impeccably clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and the swings were very relaxing to watch the sunset in.

Very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet house with an amazing panorama. Luckily the sky just cleared when we arrived so we were able to appreciate the view. We stayed for 2 nights only. We highly appreciated the personnel of the reception that helped us organise our activities. A plus was also the laundry service. We would definitely stay there again if we came back to Monteverde.

The wind. It never stops but that is normal for the area. Road up to unit is terrible but so are most roads in Costa Rica. Noisy if someone stays in unit above. Wish coffee maker was bigger than one cup since it was a full kitchen.

Amazing views over the sunsets, spotlessly clean accomodation. Large room and bed, very comfortable. Friendly service, welcoming and available for any advice or activity planning. Great location with parking. Coffee machine and equipment to make breakfast. Would highly recommend.

The property had the most amazing views overlooking the ocean, and the Nicoya Peninsula. It was absolutely stunning, and far better than I could have imagined. There was plenty of space in the apartment with great big bathrooms and showers.

Unfortunately Waze sent us on route 605 which is unpaved and very narrow. This is unrelated to the property listed but just advice to future travellers.

Beautiful views and very attentive staff! The unit provided everything we needed and the kitchen was equipped for a simple meal and breakfast.
