Make no mistake, the place is best described as a motel and lacks a little charme.

We had the best breakfast of our entire Costa Rica tour at this accommodation. The short distance to the airport is also important given the traffic chaos in San José, and we were able to park our car in the hotel's own garage. Compared to other accommodations, the price is relativly low.

There is no lift, if you have luggage then it’s not handy.

It’s in the quite area, hotel is clean. The breakfast was good. We booked family room with two bedrooms. The apartment is spacious.

It would have been nice to have breakfast available till 10 am and not only till 9 am (weekdays only though).

I enjoyed having a kitchen and two bedrooms. That worked out very well for our group of 3 (2 kids and 1 adult). Also, the beds were very comfortable and good sheets.

An amazing breakfast which is more like a meal with eggs with no limitation with how many or how you want them: scrambled, omelet, or fry . It is accompanied with rice, roasted vegetables, plantain, french fried and other things. Toasts are available with no restriction just as coffee is. A fruit station with mangos, pineapples, water melons and apples are offered with no restriction. There is also a station with ham and cheese and an option of drinks such as orange, apple juice and yogurt. All this food can be degusted around the pool area outside. My room was immaculate and the lady came to change my bed sheets, made the bed and cleaned the bathroom, kitchen counter tops and moped everywhere. The hotel is kept very clean and furnitures and tables are desinfected on regular basis. The reception is always willing to help you with whatever. I didn't know how to use the stove so they came to show me how. This is my 6th time in the hotel and I love it.

Breakfast ends rather early. Weekends at 10am and weekdays 9am. I had to fast before going to a doctor appointment and was disappointed that I couldn’t get breakfast when I was back at 9am. Most hotels stop breakfast at 11am weekends and 10am weekdays.

The room is very spacious. The bed was cozy and the AC was cold.

If you expect a touristy area, this hotel is not for you, but they will, I’m sure, arrange for tours and will recommend places to eat.

A very nice breakfast with much variety. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice Italian Restaurant in the building next door. The hotel has a small pool.This hotel is not fancy, but it is very clean with good facilities. I will stay here again.

Close to the center but away from all the busy rush of the city. We spent two nights as a family to visit San Jose before our flight back home. Our suite was simple but super clean. Very convenient parking; we left our car there and used Uber to move around. The place is calm and we felt very safe. Close to the Sabana park where we went for a short stroll and also walking distance to the supermarket. The breakfast is served in the garden and it is varied and delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The only thing that was slightly negative was that the pool wasn't heated. The nights had been cooler, so the pool was a bit chilly. We had been in the Guanacaste region previously where it was 100° and the pools felt like bathwater, so it was a bit of a disappointment, but we found plenty of other things to do in San Jose.

This hotel was surprisingly delightful. I was traveling with my husband and two teenage daughters. I booked Hotel Cristina because there were suites with two bedrooms and one of the rooms had two twin beds. My daughters do not want to share a bed. I expected something basic, but Hotel Cristina exceeded my expectations. The architecture does a great job of bringing some outdoors and fresh air in while offering some protection from the weather. There was even a little courtyard within our suite, which allowed us to keep a window open without feeling vulnerable. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The biggest surprise, though, was the breakfast! There were so many delicious prepared dishes that it was difficult to choose. There was even an omelet station. I had one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had, and it came out of a machine! There was regular brewed coffee as well, along with fresh juices. Even my picky eater was happy with the food.

After a big and tasty breakfast, we were ready to go to the airport for our flight home. But then our rental car wouldn’t start. The super kind men from the hotel helped us right away and did everything they could. Such great service — we’re so thankful for this lovely ending to our holiday!

No bathtubs.

Super spacious and excellent location if you're going to the stadium or music festival. If you're there for down town, it's a not of a long walk. Comfy bed and large refridgerator! Tasty breakfast.

It was quite a long walk to the centre of the city, The room was a little outdated and if I'm honest, I feel it was a little over priced for what we actually got
